Smothering a gasp, I hastily began to move away, clinging the bedsheet around myself while I searching around for my clothing. Luke felt the movement, and began to stir.

Morning, he smiled, opening his eyes at me. Then he frowned. What are you..... where are you going?

Away from you, I retorted, immediately pulling the sheet closer against me once I realised he'd woken, while backing away again. My hands were shaking, and I accidentally dropped it, picking it up again and covering myself at the speed of light, while turning a bright scarlet.

Why? he asked, excruciatingly calmly, and I found that I couldn't look at him. I continued to search for my clothes as quickly as I could, and then tried to dress while still hidden by the sheet. Every time I let it slip I'd be turning redder and redder. And Luke didn't seem to sharing any of my embarrassment, shame and regret, at all.

(I couldn't stop laughing while writing this today )

Lola actually dropped the phone from shock, hurrying to pick it up. She pushed it back to her ear, immediatly What? was her clever responce. Really? Her dad?

Your dad.. He lives in suburbs. About a 45 minute cab ride, said Sheldon, calmly, beginning to wonder if he had done the wrong thing.. Was he not meant to find her dad..?

I.. Really? It's him? questioned Lola, her intelligence having diserted her. She couldn't help the excitement that bubbled up inside of her, cancelling out momentarily the fear. Her father.

It's him, promised Sheldon - he could hear the excitement, and felt relief wash over him.

( *still expects disaster, though*)

My thoughts were still coiling rapidly as I hurried out of the building, and walked rapidly away. It was a long walk, but I couldn't bear even thinking of waiting in a cab or getting the tube. I needed to be constantly moving so I didn't think.

The cab took just under three quaters of an hour to get there, and Lola smiled nervously, handing the man the money he asked for, and getting out. She moved cautiously up to number 53. She began pacing a little, not quiet sure how to ring the doorbell, what to say.. 'Hi, I'm the daughter you abandomed..'

Just as she built up the courage to knock, reminding herself not to be stupid, a little boy walked up to her, looking at her curiously

Who are you? he asked. The boy had blonde hair, and couldn't be older than six years old.

My name's Lola, I'm looking for.. Jerry Thomas, she said, her voice still shaking.

("Hi, little half brother")

You found me, giggled the boy, happily.

Lola blinked What?

Me. I'm Jerry Thomas, he smiled broadly, wondering why she wasn't getting this.

Does your.. uncle live here? Dad? she asked, trying to work out who he could be.. Was he.. Could this boy really be.. her brother?

( Even though I'm not certain her dad's also there, I'm thinking maybe Shelton accidentally located the wrong one)

DAD! called the boy, before pushing the door open and charging dramatically down the hall. Eventually, an aging man in a cardigan came to the door.

How can I help you, dear? asked the man, his face kind enough, obviously not recognising his daugher. Why would he?

I'm.. I'm your daughter

M-My? he stuttered, the words stunning him a little. He stayed frozen for a few minutes. Lola?

She nodded, unable to say anything. What was she meant to say apart from that? 'Hi, dad, thanks for abandoming me..'

I'm so sorry he whispered, pulling her into a hug.

Another week had passed, and Luke had spent most of it at the HQ. They still hadn't put any more of their plan into action, and in all honesty he was beginning to grow impatient about that. He practiced his Detection a lot, and by now could usually accurately predict what ability their recruits would gain. Take that new one, the girl, for example. Victoria Lewis. She'd gain control of the elements. But she, like most of them, was now waiting for Dave.
