I'm not acting weirdly! he protested loudly once she asked, making her chuckle.
Yeah you are.... you've been staring at Nyasia almost non-stop since we got in. It almost makes me think you've imprinted on her, she joked.
No I haven't!!!
That denial made her burst out laughing yet again. It'd been spoken far too fast and strongly. Now she wasn't joking about the idea any more.

Liar, she laughed. You denied that far too strongly. Why are you trying to hide it?
He shrugged. He didn't really know. It just felt weird, that was all.
What if she doesn't accept it, doesn't like me? he whispered. His sister smiled.
You might be a complete pain sometimes, Mick, but I'm telling you, she'll end up liking you. Eventually, at least. It's just the imprint. It knows what it's doing, you know?

You sure? he asked, uncharacteristically anxious. She just grinned in response, and encouraged him again. He headed over to Nyasia, and asked her to dance.

Upon being asked, Nyasia looked confused for a moment, glancing over at Lyla whilst mentally asking her sister why someone would ask one of them to do something without the other. They'd never been separate before. Almost treated as if they were one person.
Why? she asked.
Cause I want to dance with you, he answered simply, grinning. She glanced over at Lyla again, who just shrugged.

Why me and not Lyla? she continued. Mick by now was just looking confused, not understanding all of her questions, since they weren't a refusal, not really. After a moment, she laughed, and agreed, after getting her sister's mental go-ahead.

On the sidelines, Caterina smiled softly as she watched her brother with Nyasia. When she felt an arm wrapping around her waist, she leaned her head against her new husband's shoulder without any need to glance to confirm it was him. She could feel it. They'd agreed not to bother with an official first dance, given the extent of her pregnancy by now.

The dancing continued for another hour, until everyone slowed and stopped for the speeches and toasts. Caterina kept worrying that she'd end up going into labour in the middle of it all. That sounded dramatic enough for her new family, she thought to herself dryly. It didn't happen though. They finished all the toasts, cut the cake, she threw her bouquet and then the wedding was finished.

Wishing she'd have the kid in the ceremony now
Avril continued to twirl around the dance floor even as she failed to catch the bouquet and others started leaving and going back to their rooms and houses. Phillippe kept her in his arms, smiling broadly. Autumn and Summer stuck to their refusal to dance and had instead spent at lot of the ceremony sitting on the edge of the dance floor and cackling in laughter when something unfortunate happened to people - they, of course, had the manners to avoid the bride and groom.

I don't think already-married women are meant to try to catch, Tannith whispered as she passed Avril twirling.

Locked in the darkness of her cell, as she had been for countless hours and days by now, Sienna curled up into a ball and yet again tried to find a way out of her current situation. She hadn't had much success so far. All she could think of was how she'd been so stupid as to just run, just flee. If only she hadn't done that.... if only she hadn't done so many things. But she was refusing to let herself think of the one thing she was really regretting. She had enough on her plate without that.

She knew it'd been weeks by now since her capture. It had felt like months. Her captors had just thrown her into this cell and had practically forgotten her, except for passing food and water in occasionally, just leaving her to wonder what they wanted with her. It had to be an attack against the leaders, surely..... did they intend to kill her? Why hadn't they done so already? The very thought made her feel cold and numb, but she knew she had to consider the possibility. Nothing else made sense.

Every now and again, she'd hear raised voices coming from outside, when her captors forgot themselves in their arguments. Most of the time she didn't really try to listen, though. She didn't think it'd be much use. She instead focused endlessly on trying to find a way out, trying in vain. The walls were all too strong to break through - she'd tried. There was nothing organic here to age until it crumpled. And she couldn't pin all of her hopes on waiting for a rescue.

Re: World 4 - Vampires and Wolves - RP
Hamish wandered around his London flat, finding himself pacing slightly as he tried to think. The rain was too distracting, changing from non-existent to thunder storm conditions and back every few minutes. He barely heard the first knock at the door, but Hamish still turned the stereo off, which had been playing some low Jazz music, and approached the door. He checked the peep hole before opening. Wordlessly, he stood aside and let his brother enter, the thin man shaking the umbrella he was holding before putting it off and taking off his coat.
Good to see you, Reuben said in a cordial manner, not bothering with any physical display of greeting. Instead, he simply walked the few steps to the two armchairs Hamish had in his living room and sat down on the one closer to the fire.
Hamish refused to take the seat opposite his brother, returning to his pacing by the window. Reuben admired the odd collection of things on his coffee table, obviously stalling before he had to make conversation

Try as she might, though, she couldn't find a way out of her situation. The days passed slowly, fading into the next, and all she could do was fret and worry. She barely saw any sign of her captors. The only time she was reminded of their very existence was when they'd occasionally keep arguing. They tended to sound timid, scared. She eventually gleaned that they were afraid of the ruling coven, thinking that maybe even just snatching her would be considered treason and get fatal wrath raining down on them, but they hated, too.

Re: World 4 - Vampires and Wolves - RP
As the days and weeks slid by, she found herself listening more and more to those whispered arguments. Soon she had an ear pressed against the cold metal of the door, and eventually she'd succeeded in hearing enough to begin piecing some details together. They'd targeted her because of Tavis.... they wanted to prevent her from having him. Too afraid to attack any of the coven directly, or even kill a Guard member, they'd chosen to stop her from conceiving her son so that in future he wouldn't be around to time travel and save the Queen in the past, as they'd correctly heard had happened.

Re: World 4 - Vampires and Wolves - RP
Immediately, a chill ran down her as she realised this, an instinctive maternal defensiveness. Gradually though, that faded. As soon as she could really think, it turned into a grin she was barely suppressing. Because they didn't know it, but she did - they were too late. Over a year too late. Keeping her away from Robert now wouldn't do a thing, and they were too scared to kill her. She'd even stopped phasing...

Even better than that was the inspiration which struck her soon afterwards, thinking of Tavis. She had stopped phasing... from what he'd said of when he'd be born, she'd be becoming pregnant soon. Maybe she already was, too early to know or tell. And if she was.... she could accelerate it forwards to his birth. Then his power could get them both out of here.

Re: World 4 - Vampires and Wolves - RP
Almost as soon as she'd thought the idea, her gift had began acting upon it, and she could feel her body swelling outwards. Months turned into minutes, seconds even. It was painful and weird, but she bit her cries back, fearful that any noise would draw her captors' attention too soon. She could do this... she had to do this.... even alone. It was her way out - it was their way out.
