As her pregnancy developed as she realised that she was racing through it, Caterina insisted upon having her wedding brought forwards. She really didn't like the idea of having her child before it. When they finally settled on a day, it'd only been just over a week since they were engaged, and she suspected that some people hadn't even fully registered their news yet.

They'd chosen a hotel in a nearby city for the location, and Caterina was currently in an anteroom there getting ready. Her butterflies by now felt like they ought to be ripping their way free from her stomach. Nervously, she kept folding her hands across her waist, but she knew that it wasn't cold feet that she was getting. About the actual marriage, she'd never felt any more certain. She just kept worrying about everything that could go wrong.

She only broke out of her musings when a timid knock echoed on the door. Raising her head, she smiled as she saw her maid of honour and future sister in law Alessia.

Alessia grinned in response, entering the room and offering to help her get ready, simultaneously reminding Caterina that this was what she was supposed to have been doing in the first place. She slid into her dress, relieved to find that it still fit her even though she'd only gotten it days ago. Her pregnancy was advancing that fast. She idly stroked the silken material, then proceded to pin her hair up and secure it with a simple flower.

My characters began to file one by one into the hotel and later to their seats, Levi taking his place before nearly knocking all of the chairs behind him over in an attempt to balance his chair on one leg. Avril scolded him lightly, he apologised and put the chairs back in place. However, he nearly broke his chair in fury when he noticed Kyler was able to do it (both brothers were clueless to the news that Caleb had given him the good luck to manage it)

Once the bride herself was sorted, Alessia offered to go round up those of her cousins chosen to also be bridesmaids, in order for them to get ready too. They were to be Pippa, Nyasia and Lyla - Charlotte was saying that it'd be ridiculous to have a married woman as one.

Pippa went on to help Rosa get ready, while Alessia insisted upon keeping an eye on Caterina continuously, paranoid that something'd happen to threaten her unborn nephew or niece. The twins had been sent out to check on whether the room where the wedding'd be was ready or not. Lyla seemed to be more interested in trying to guess why Mick kept staring at her sister, though.

They eventually managed to get everyone together and ready, all gathered in Caterina's anteroom. Hearing the music, Alessia signalled that Rosa should make the way down the aisle. Caterina and the bridesmaids picked up their bouquets and followed her.

Immediately her eyes landed upon Ethan at the head of the aisle, and a smile broke across her face which lit up her entire expression, visible through the glimmering white and yellow lights decorating the place. She glided up to his side. Smiling again, she placed her hand in his and squeezed it before waiting for the ceremony to begin.

They then proceeded to swap rings, smiling indolently at each other as they slid them on. Throughout, it was as if they couldn't even see anyone else there. When they were finally announced husband and wife, Ethan almost had to resist cheering aloud, and he grabbed Caterina close to him and kissed her.

Ok, now you're just showing off, she laughed. People kept flowing in to congratulate them both, and it took a long while before she could drift off to interrogate her brother about how he'd started acting really weirdly over the last few hours.
