Unable to see his daughter, Danny began to panic himself, truly lost within the hoards of screaming people. Rhi wasn't here. But she had to be okay, she had to be. He began shouting her name, trying to find her, trying to find Elan. Someone had to know where his daughter was

Elan, pretty much predictably, was right in the forefront of the fighting, madly throwing attacks and attackers telekinetically into the air. She wasn't using electricity as she feared that people'd actually see that coming from her, know she was responsible for it. An old fear of exposure. She barely deflected another stream of fire in time, sent it hurtling back at the man who'd thrown it, but she grimaced as she saw that the guy seemed immune to his own power.

Danny didn't spot his wife immediately, distracted by the sobbing woman thrown aside violently, seeing blood trickle from her mouth and hearing one ominous crunch. He crawled over to her, immediately, trying to calm her down until he noticed she was perfectly calm - shock. Worried, he pressed his hands against her arm and willed her to heal. Before his eyes, the blood stopped flowing and there was another crunch, but this time, the girl whimpered. She looked up at Danny, but he didn't have time to say anything other than, Run, before he found another victim. A badly burned man sat crouched behind one of the pews.

Eventually, the fight died away as they beat and pushed back the assailants. There was an air of shock left behind. Even without telepathy it was obvious that so many were questioning what the hell had happened. And the place looked ruined, seats upturned and burned and broken, the decor torn away.

Danny stood up finally, seeing the crowds clearing more as people kept backed against the walls. He attended to any he could see were definitely injured until he was too physically exhausted for me. Immediately after the fight was over, he hurried to Elan's side, managing half a smile before asking if she knew where Rhi was.

She's hidden with the rest of the kids, I can hear her, she whispered back. She tried to force a small smile, but her anxiety was still visible. All of this had been chaos.

More times than you say it does, she replied, laughing. She sent a telepathic message to Rhi saying she could come out, since she was still hiding with the other children, insisting that they stay there just in case the fighting wasn't entirely over.

Maybe we should forget about who exactly these guys are and focus on covering it all up? Dann suggested softly, coming over to join them. Now that he'd pointed it out, Elan noticed again how all the normal guests were still staring around as if shellshocked. She knew already that there'd be no way of explaining this. It'd have to be a telepathic cover up.

Check for any photos or texts out or anything like that, too, she replied. Moving outwards, she began focusing on altering people's minds as she passed them, making them remember nothing more significant than a slight delay to the ceremony. The damage remained, but she blocked people from noticing it.

Danny tried to kick aside the slight rubble and picked up some of the floors and chairs that had been strewn everywhere. He felt odd taking people's phones, but wiped them quickly of any updates. He also edited all of the cameras and videos of the ceremony to show nothing out of the ordinary. A few burns and a couple of big scratches were the only real injuries left.

Noticing the damage, Elan quickly telepathically asked David and Lily if they both could alter it away. They agreed. Soon the place looked perfect again, without a sign of the attack.

Her bottled anger was growing, and making her feel uncomfortable, since she wasn't used to feeling like that. Normally, she had to keep her emotions in check, to control her ability. But now....

If I was Elan I'd be acting on those feelings, she pointed out, laughing. It was by now almost infamous in their social circle what'd happen to anyone who pissed off Elan. And we're continuing with the wedding. That's not a question. Anything else would be like letting them win.
