Well, by doing that, you changed the future, but mine had changed anyway. I have a better way, after taking down the Hunters - you know why, now, Carita, Jack - I am to live with the Malus. I am going to be one of there guard.

Carita rolled her eyes at Jack and waited for Ellen to answer her question. Did she mean that "that" was Carita going to do the background check? If she had seen that, did she see him and the others in advance too? Carita was glad that being a vampire meant she couldn't nibble her lip with nerves.

After we've finished fighting them, I go to the Malus. It doesn't help, but I have battles to fight, for them, alliances to win. I will be helpful to them, and they are helpful to all fo us. I am going to help them protect the vampires and wolves, by protecting them.

They set the laws. Make sure people keep them. The Malus keep everything going. The reason they are the Gods, is that they won the right, from our previous, self-proclaimed Gods, the Egypatian, Dasager.

Probably, because any Hunter who gets close to them gets massacred? They don't tolerate human lives, much, and Hunters are the utmost hated.
