She soon realised it was the light of dawn, and when she left the woods she'd teleported into, it showed her a small hillside with a home sheltered in it's side. It was the same location as the Carnival had been that day, she realised with a shock. That was no longer here, however.

She neared, hearing the sound of laughter. Where, no, when, was she? She crept closer, looking for some clue. There was a wall around the house, and she hid behind that as she glanced over. 3 children were playing loudly in the garden. She smiled at that, glowing slightly. Soon, a woman came to call them in. She glanced at her, she seemed vaguely familiar. But where had she seen her before?

Dani crept closer to get a better view. Her curiosity had been caught. As she did, the woman turned, and her face was hidden. She still seemed familiar though - Dani was sure she'd seen her before. Or someone like her......somehow she reminded her of her own mother.
One of the children whispered something to her as he entered, and she laughed. A gentle light glowed out of her as she did so, and that was when it clicked.
