    He sat on the chair rocking himself, what sort of father was he? he wasn;t there for her when she was a baby, he watched her die... he looked her in the eyes, he said they very word's she wanted to here...

    Reaching the top, she followed another footpath inland, soon passing several farm fields. They too had changed, they were larger, with different crops and animals in them. Sometimes she'd laugh, remembering the many times when her older brothers had stolen some crops and been chased ferociously by the angered farmer.

    She walked on, soon reaching the small town. This had changed completely. It was completely silent, empty. Dead. Strange that it was so, now it finally had the peace so long denied within her lifetime.

    He walked to the kitchen and got himself a glasss of water... he looked up and saw the chair, the empty chair that used to be filled with his bubbly child Lola... she was neevr going to sit in that placeno more... the chair ill stay empty forever

    She walked through it, to the area where her family had lived. To the very street, to the very house. It was still there, still recogniseable. She wondered if different people had bought it, or if it was in fact still owned by her oh-so-many-greats-nieces and nephews. She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat, blinking away her tears. So many memories......but she would look suspicious standing out here and crying. She lay a hand on the gate, but nothing happened. Still no answers. Where next?

    She left, walking on down the street, until she reached the local park. It had changed of course, but some parts were still the same. She walked up to one such part, a large oak tree. It was under that tree, just after dusk, that she and Lleucu had first met the man who had changed their lives so drastically. She smiled. Would the answers come now?

    No. Still no answers. Where next? Her eyes drifted across, through the gaps in the foliage, seeing the graveyard in the distance. She remembered, days after Lleucu had died, finally accepting it, burying her ashes there, carving her name into a stone in the periphery wall.

    Jack went outside, he needed some air.. the house got too hot for him, unless his anger filled him up and burnt him... what could he do, he had these powers, these helpess powers...

    She walked towards the graveyard, pausing at her sister's handmade memorial. She could see several gravestones of her family from here, from her past, her generation, and past her time. But there was still no answer. She hadn't really expected anything: the ashes lying here had nothing really to do with Lleucu as she'd known her. Just the remnants of her shell, insignificant. She left, walking on.

    Jack walked across the grass, stepping on the crunchy crisp leaves... as the wind breezed past him blowing his tears behind him... he sat down on the bench... and smiled... his mind started playing tricks on him... as he saw lola next to him, but the style was in a black and white mode... he touched her hair and hugged her...

    She found another beach, a hidden one, deserted, wild, hidden completely behind rearing cliffs. In their last 5 years of humanity, she and Lleucu had been daredevils, diving into the water then climbing through the rocks to this beach. It had been their secret sanctuary. She knew Lleucu, in particular, had hidden objects there, though she'd never seen them. Raising her hands, she dove off.

    Swimming in, she sat down on one rock. Her sister's memory was more alive here than anywhere else, untainted by any others. She could hear her, still: laughing, joking, teasing, talking....she could see her smiling, running around, clambering around. Sneaking a box in and out of a slot in that very rock, when she believed Tannith wasn't looking.

    Smiling softly, Tannith got up, and knelt beside it. For the first time, she slid her hand into the gap, pulling out the box. It had not rusted. With trembling hands, she slid it open.
