World 3 - Renegade

"no there were paintings we used them to try and stop it" Hiro told him

In the hide-out, something unusual was about to happen, something no one was expecting. Everyone was busying themselves with normal humans things. The boys were watching football on the TV and all the girls except Elle were talking about clothes. The only reason that Elle wasn't with them was that everyone had finally realised that Elle could do the washing up (she had duped them into believing that she lost control of her ability in water) when it finally clicked that she still managed to shower everyday. Elle was in a little bit of a mood because of this and was now scrubbing the plates very vigorously.

( I do that. I claim I'm allergic to Latex, or to the washing up liquid. Or that the water scalds me)

And the event would pass unnoticed, by all but one.

The boy's footie match had ended and they were now talking to the girls about nothing in particular except Peter. Peter was going to get some sleep because he had a big day tomorrow. Good puppy. Elle thought with a smile as she scrubbed at a pot.

Her thoughts moved to their situation. They were cooped up in a dimly lit flat with only just enough beds and couches for them all with all the windows closed and the curtains and blackout curtains drawn to stop light escaping so that the flat looked like no one lived there. They only got to go out when it was something important and they were sure it was relatively safe. Elle was frustrated about being cooped up indoors. She had been cooped up indoors all her life at Primatech and now she was free, she had to endure more? She couldn't take it.

And then, it happened.

"what cheerleader" Jacob asked

"the cheerleader had the same power as Adam, Sylar took it and we couldn't kill him, we failed, i failed"

Elle wasn't sure whether she dropped the plate first before it happened or whether the reason why she dropped the plate was because it happened. Either way she found she could see through the curtains and walls and the plate smashed on the floor at pretty much the same time.

Everyone looked over and there were a few teasing "oohs" but she just grinned awkwardly and knelt down to pick up the pieces. When she looked up from picking them up to lean forward and put the pieces in the bin, she found herself staring through the wall to Peter's room. After a moment she tried to take her eyes away but she couldn't.

He was undressing. She felt like a right pervert but it felt good at the same time. She watched him as he slowly took his top off, revealing his toned bare chest. Her mouth opened slightly as he took off his belt. He was going slowly because his mind was miles away, thinking about tomorrow and the future, but to Elle it looked almost like a strip tease.

By the time his trousers were off, she had to put her free hand to her mouth to stop herself from drooling. Next he had to swap his boxers for his PJ bottoms and realising this, she made a last effort not to be a pevert and hurriedly finished picking pieces up off the floor and putting them in the bin. She was too giddy to get up at the moment so she closed her eyes. She almost died when she found she could see through them without any effort. She almost died again when he took his boxers off.

"Are you ok?" came a voice. Looking up, she saw it was Sandra. Elle realised how scarlet her cheeks must be and she was glad that the flat was dimly lit. She glanced back at Peter quickly but to her disappointment he had got his PJ bottoms on now so there was only his chest left to stare at.

"I'm fine." Elle smiled, getting up. She rushed out of the room for an early night too. And a cold shower.
