"No." Christian said, shaking his head. He was still wondering how Dawn had been healed.

(How she's been healed is so obvious once you know what it is! XD)

"We'll have to follow her trail." Christian said. "Um.." he added, blushing a little. "Would you turn around please ladies?"

Christian concentrated. And concentrated. And concentrated. And...


... his tail turned into legs. He struggled around a bit in the water, not knowing how to swim with legs. He went under several times but he didn't drown because he could breathe underwater. After about a minute, he had it. He was a bit freaked out at having human genitals for the first time though. He'd never seen them before. They seemed like an alien parasite. He avoided having to see them as much as possible.

Christian swam over to the bank where the girls couldn't see and pulled himself out with his arms. He took a towel to dry himself with from his bag and did so. Then he took out pair of underpants and some trousers from it and fumbled with them as he tried to get them on. After about a minute, he had that too. He was very proud to see that they weren't on inside out or back to front either.

"You can turn around now." he said proudly from where he laid on the bank.

Christian grinned proudly, pulled on a shirt and buttoned it up. He took out some socks and put them on.

"You did it!" Dawn said once she saw. "Well done!"

"Thank you." he said, still grinning. "Can you give me lessons on how to walk?" he asked, putting on some shoes with a bit of difficulty. He managed it and tied the laces with ease.

(*head explodes at how cute Christian is being*)

Malinda climbed out.
Out your left foot forward first, then your second so its past your left. Like this.
Malinda showed him.

"Ok. Err..." he said, pulling himself towards a tree. Dawn saw what he was doing and went over to help him up. She let him go and he swayed precariously and grabbed back onto her hands. "This is so weird... How do you manage?"

"I know! Weird aren't they? It's far easier with 4 legs." Dawn said. After a minute or so he could stand up by himself.

"How does it go again?" he asked Malinda.

Chloe continued with the sparks, determined to get the phoenix's attention.

Christian's first few steps were a struggle. At first he tried to get them to move by doing what he'd done in the water to swim with them. He would've fallen if it wasn't for Dawn's and Malinda's assistance.

After a minute or so, he had gone forward a few steps. His face was a picture of pure determination as he made some more steps. He grinned excitedly as he managed to make it a few metres. He stood up straighter and continued.

After a few minutes more, he could walk at normal walking speed with assistance.

"Can I try it by myself now?" he asked.

Chloe began to get grumpy. The phoenix still hadn't seen. She watched him on the screen as he flew away. She sighed.

Suddenly, a huge dragon flew across the screen. She made it zoom out and follow him about the sky. He was heading for her. Finally, someone had seen the sparks!

(Aww first steps!!)

Swift blinked as she reentered the woods, her eyes taking time to readjust to their darkness. When she was confident she wouldn't fall embarrassingly on her face, she headed on. She tried to keep going south, but she wasn't sure. At first, she followed the river, but she left it after remembering she didn't know where it emerged. She did know there was a famous waterfall nearby, so maybe it led there.
