Dawn let go of his other arm, and there he stood. He was standing by himself. He grinned happily and stood tall, although admittedly not the 8'10" he was as a merman. He was still tall for his age if he was a human, about 5'5".
He took a deep breath and took a step. Nothing bad happened. He grinned more confidently and took another. Again, nothing bad happened. He took more steps and managed to make it over to Malinda.
"I can walk!" he laughed, hugging them one by one. "Thank you so much!"

She walked on, for what felt like hours, everything she saw blurring into each other. She didn't know enough botany to distinguish between different species of trees. The only thing leading her was the concept of walking with her back to the thin sunlight streaming through.

"Follow me!" he said proudly, and led the way, if a little slowly at first, but he soon picked up speed as he got better at walking.

After about an hour, Christian became too exhausted from walking so Dawn helped him climb up onto her back and point the way. He had been brilliant and he had refused to get on her back until he was far too tired to argue anymore. He pointed the way he was tracking her and they entered dark woods.

Chloe was nervous as she landed near the rock she was standing on but she didn't show it. Soon he had landed and she became calm again and turned the screen off which she had forgotten about up until now.

Walking around in the woods, Swift began to hear voices and other footsteps. The voices sounded as if they might be familiar, but they were too distant to be certain. She headed towards them. Soon, she found them.

Well im a dragon... but im kind of different, im sort of the misfit... as you can tell by looking at me... i look more like a chicken than a dragon
