Doctor Who series 6B trailer

i was reading up randomly about doctor who and the idea was created by a man from canada who worked for the bbc in england. and the show was meant to be about a time traveller who visits people in the past (mostly educational) and he strictly did not want monsters an stuff in there.

And the monsters and stuff is what made it great

Did he end up hating it?

Probably But what's good about a show that doesn't have monsters?

i'm not sure if he hated it, probably looks foolish for not wanting it now.

It's way too successful But not exactly his intention

the british were what made it great, the canadian just came up woth the main character (he didn;t do much really )

But isn't the way River Song got her name (river song) a paradox then?

I don't think so, because the Doctor got it from the napkin thing, and that's how she learned that was her name

In a way, it is. He named her that cause he recognised her from her future, as well as knowing that's who she'd become. But maybe she'd have ended up choosing or reclaiming the name anyway

The napkin was just a way to show the translation. But the only reason she was named River Song was because Amy told the robot to show her river song and it was her. So from them on she would use that name.

i was also looking up random facts and Donna Temple-Noble (because she married a guy called mr. Temple) translates to, Lady Time-Lord

True But wouldn't she then be Noble-Temple?

The Doctor had mentioned the name River Song before, though. The robot was a way to prove it was her. And plus there's still those forest people's translation of her original name.

I think the time she really adopted the name River Song was because of the Doctor, but the reason he called her that was because of the napkin & the timeline in which they met

Their timeline is so confusing, it hurts

Nah, it's cause he's known her for a while as River Song, so it'd have been automatic.

The first time he met her was in the Library. She introduced herself a Professor River Song- so of course he would automatically know her as that because she told him that's her name.

You're both making the same point..

my point is that the only reason she was named river song was because the doctor told her that was her name.
