That may be true, but just because it hasn't been an issue so far doesn't mean that you couldn't absorb so much vitamin c to the point of death. Besides, overdose on vitamin C, can result in absorbing too much iron and too much iron can lead to Hemochromatosis, which untreated can lead to liver, heart and pancreas to fail. So, technically, overdosing on vitamin C could kill a person.
