But what'd pet species be, different from normal species? If you've got a character that species, then it's a species

If you'd want to It doesn't really sound like it'd fit into W6 though. Unless you mean it for W9?

Re: New World 9 species
Kinda a cool idea Go for it, if you want to. A pet for Blizzard? Or are you starting from scratch there?
Btw, what do you think of my earlier suggestions: lycanthropes and whatever I'll call the species which can drain people? Both would be W9, I think.

Re: New World 9 species
Any species name suggestions for the second one? I'd be considering Drainers but then I had a character in W2 whose alias was "The Drainer", so it could be confusing.

Re: New World 9 species
cool.Wayward Daughter wrote:Lycanthropes (for W6)
These are distantly related to werewolves, but are not controlled by the phases of the moon and are feral all the time. They also just have a more feral but human appearance, instead of actually turning into wolves or any animal form. The species is spread by bite or scratch.
awesome, not too sure what to call it then.Wayward Daughter wrote:If I made up characters/a species for W6 which had a power something like Absorption or Draining, would I just list them as possessing that ability or make up a new species name for them?
It wouldn't be any ability we already have, exactly, though - they can drain energy, life and abilities, but unlike Draining they gain the powers, and unlike Absorption they can't absorb other stuff like memories or history. They'd also be driven to do so/need to drain to live.

Re: New World 9 species
Sure. Maybe I'll make something up from nothing. Like I'll have to do for Mikala and Caden's son in W9 (mental note to actually RP his birth )

Re: New World 9 species
Possible new idea for W6, not sure what to call it or how it'd really work
Basically, a humanoid species which lives ordinary lives when awake, but also lives double lives, hunting and saving the world while seemingly asleep. When awake, these people either remember nothing of their sleeping lives, or recall only glimpses of it as vague dreams.

Re: New World 9 species
The species would stop that, somehow It's no more implausible than magic not draining people of energy, and half the powers we have in the other worlds.

That's a possibility I didn't have a name in mind.
Btw, I have more threads in this section which need replies, 4 more.

What about Night Warriors, or Nighthunters? Since they'd do more than walk.

Doppelgangers
Clone duplicates of real people, human or overwise, which are driven by those people's repressed base instincts and any evil urges they're preventing themselves from following.
