He nodded grimly at Mason's second suggestion. That had been what he was thinking. He sought around, trying to find some sort of trace or scent, any indication or where Lleucu - or any of the others - had gone to after they'd left the room. There were several doors visible, and twenty or thirty different exits in the following corridors. There were so many options to choose from.

"Lleucu!" Mason called out. He began trying doors and looking through them, being frightfully careful not to go inside, worried in case there was a trap set up.

There was no answer to Mason's call. Everyone else had scattered so far that they didn't hear him, even with vampiric or werewolf hearing. The place was that much of a maze.
Copying Mason, Ash also searched through the doors on his side of the corridor. Every room he peered into, so far, was small and empty. The dust made it look like they'd been uninhabited for a while. He had one small comfort - he could still sense his sisters through their fragment of a pack mind, and the reassurance of their well being made him hope that everyone could be.

Can you try to attract one of the others, or this woman? Ash suggested, a new idea striking him. Even his mind link couldn't locate Kitty or Sienna since they hadn't been previously tracking their steps.

Ash waited patiently. Neither Kitty nor Sierra were being affected, from what he could tell. They seemed to be too far away. He eventually began to hear approaching footsteps, though.

Slowly, the door opposite the pairing slid open. Lleucu's head appeared around it. Her face was tear-stained.

Hearing the mental message, she nodded. She looked about as tired as Mason felt. She indicated that both he and Ash should follow her, then headed back through the doorway the way she had come.

She didn't answer. It'd be easier just to show them. They followed her lead silently for about ten minutes until they entered yet another small, dusty and dim room. Then Lleucu indicated towards one of the corners. Not that it was completely necessary. Their eyes were already drawn to the small, blood-stained corpse lying there.
