Lleucu continued with her telepathic call. Slowly, the mix of the two drew the rest of the group to the three. Tannith took one glimpse at the corpse, eerie in its recognisable resemblence.
She tried to make me think she was you, but I couldn't sense a telepathic link, Lleucu confessed. She was grateful for that link she'd created with her twin, many years ago by now, when she was still a reincarnated child.

Shortly after re-entering the palace, Tannith was informed of a report which'd come in during their absence from an American vampire. He was saying that a neighbouring coven to his had been breaking a few of the laws. Rajan and Matt volunteered to travel there with him to investigate.

Tannith tried to find Tomas, but there was no sign of him in the palace, and she was eventually told that he'd gone off hunting. She considered joining him, but decided to wait. Since it'd been in the morning when he'd left, it shouldn't be long.

Tannith was in utter confusion. What could have happened to him? How could he have forgotten her, lost her so completely? She kept trying to remind him, persuade him of the truth, but she had no success. Eventually she turned away and returned to the house. She feared to admit to herself that she was fleeing.
