The knock on the door was soft, Claude emerged from the door and smiled pleasantly. Dawn smiled softly back at him. "How are you?" Dawn asked, unsure whether she had came to soon. Too her surprise Claude replied. "Great."
Dawn was not expecting his reply. Maybe he has gotten over her. Has he got a new girlfriend? Her thoughts were running wild. "That's good, can I come in?"
He shifted out of the way smiling. "Come up quickly, I have something to show you."

Dawn didn't have any time at all to question Claude at all. He had reached the top of the stairs in less than fifth teen seconds. She walked to the top and could not see Claude anywhere. The balcony doors were open. "Claude." Dawn called out.

She stepped outside onto the stone paving, Claude was standing at the edge with a tiny familiar bird.
"What did you want to show me?" Dawn asked, edging closer. She stood by his side and wondered why Claude was feeding the bird, she had always thought that the Pigeons were the second love of his life.

"It's Lizzie." He said, turning to Dawn. He saw the confused look on her face. "The bird, it's Lizzie. She survived and came back to us." He explained further.
Dawn looked at Claude confused and worried for him. She didn't know why he was saying this. She had gone and he needed to move on, no matter how hard it was. "Claude, you-"
"I'm not going mad." Claude pulled out his hand and the bird hopped onto it. "It's Lizzie, it really is." His hand moved towards Dawn, the bird stood on it whistling and nodding joyfully.

Sable had been back at Pinehearst for almost half a year now, and she'd finally started relaxing and stopping herself from fearing that she'd be rediscovered in the next second. She'd stopped having to remind herself of the many methods she now had of covering up if that did happen. Still, she made a habit of searching all the arrest warrants she could get her hands on, and one day her heart leapt into her throat as she scanned one of those. It wasn't for her, but even with just the one name - their true identities were as tightly secret as they'd ever been - the description alongside it made it impossible for her to think it'd be anyone else.

She didn't know what she was going to do with this new knowledge, apart from simply warning him. She didn't have a more full plan than that. She'd just find a way to keep him safe again... somehow. They always kept each other safe. Seemed to be the story of their lives.

When she did tell Taylor, her brother's reaction was so non-chalant that it bugged her. She finally ended up snapping at him and accusing him of not taking it seriously.
I'll be fine, Sable, he breezed it off. It was almost ridiculous how lightly he was reacting, compared to how he'd been when it'd been her who'd been threatened.

Sable insisted upon doing something though, and when she next contacted the others whom she was feeding information from Pinehearst, she asked them each for help. Their replies were cautious. She could tell that they worried that it could be a trap, and she hated it. She didn't have the time to try to reassure them!

She understood the meaning of all that "possible" talk. It would work. He just didn't want to commit himself - or commit someone else. She asked for contact details, and got told that her details would be passed on instead.

Pippa found it was getting harder pretending that the fight wasn't happening out there.. Knowing Saph was okay was great, but it didn't hold any real reassurance for the future. She could die, any of them could - all of them good people. Impossible guilt filled every waking moment but she knew she could never let Noah into the danger, she could never do that to Gabriel. She tried to preoccupy herself with their new ordinary lives. Noah started pre-school, something she found sickening worrying, but still.

She was waiting for that contact now, anxiously hiding near the entrance to one of their groups' bases. She'd been told that she'd be met after the latest meeting was over. She didn't know what to expect though, and a little thought in the back of her mind kept whispering the possibility of a trap. She only relaxed when she saw the figure finally approaching, recognised even as he kept to the shadows since that's how it'd been when they'd met the first time, too.
You again, she smiled. I should have guessed.
It was surreal, really, she mused, to be meeting their father a second time like this, when he had no clue of their identities. And to be asking for his help in hiding now, too, when last time he'd been searching for her stealth to mimic and hide himself.

Her father was silent then, and she didn't have to know him well - or at all, really - to be able to tell that he was thinking deeply. Trying to find something he could do to hide her and Taylor. She was doing the same. But she'd been thinking this for weeks by now, and was clueless.
