Sure, I can tail this guy myself,[i] he agreed, ready to shift his appearance so that the man wouldn't have a clue. Once he saw who he trusted, he could even copy that person to trick a confession out of him.

Laura agreed and then hanged up. She told George of the conversation and then sat in the car to drive back to the HQ when she remembered that she should probably tell Tyler to meet them at HQ as well. So, she texted him to meet them there so that he could equip himself with some recording equipment.

Tyler returned to HQ, slightly worried that his target would slip away whilst he was there. It turned out to be a meaningless worry, though.

They were soon back at HQ, equipped Tyler with the necessary equipment and then laura and George seated themselves by the screens to guide Tyler if necessary.

It didn't take long for him to return to the apartment complex. With a complete new appearance, of course. He knew that the man was still inside his home: he could hear him moving around inside. There was only one entrance, so he settled himself within view of it, and waited. He knew that he'd probably be waiting a while.

George made coffee for Laura and George and they sat there, waiting together with Tyler for something to happen.

Predictably, it was hours before the man did leave. Tyler didn't tail him immediately, waiting til he was a floor down first, distant enough not to be obvious but still within his sights. The man exited by one of the complex's side doors, and went out into the crowds. Tyler followed. The streets were so packed that he didn't have to worry about being spotted, but he had to focus on keeping his eyes on the man. He shifted his appearance a little too, though, just in case.

Laura pointed out when the audio was getting disrupted by other signals and kept him alert on any changes what so ever.

(Does that mean something's interfering with the signal?)

The same, she finished for her. She hesitated. Mom.... why didn't you ever tell me about this? Or any of us?
I didn't know how to, Layla admitted.
Did you even know there was a chance I'd get it, too? she continued. Layla shrugged. She'd never really considered the idea, but now she thought of it, the heredity seemed obvious. With all 3 of the Fallons possessing abilities, it had to run in families in some way. But she didn't say a word about it, knowing she'd struggle to explain how she knew. It'd be easier to make no mention at all of her colleagues and friends. Easier, cleaner and simpler.

Tyler noted the interference in the signal too, hearing the static growing worse and worse. He asked Laura to try to fix it. Nothing improved, though. He was beginning to think it might be something more, and he communicated this suspicion to Laura.

Laura could barely hear Tyler's voice now and then the static increased even more, making it hard to hear enough except the static. She tried fixing the signal and then the signal was lost. She called Tyler's name over and over, but she didn't get any response.
"He is all alone now." George said as he and Laura exhanged worried looks.

Tyler too noted when the signal abruptly turned to nothing but static. He whispered and called to Laura a few times, but got no response. He was alone. He knew that. He couldn't make too much of an effort to try to reconnect, either, focusing on not losing the man in front of him. After another minute, that man suddenly turned and was looking directly at him.

He doubted that he'd be able to recognise him, but still, he found himself preparing a shockwave subtly in the palm of his hand, ready. Just in case. The man frowned, but eventually he looked away. He began walking again. Tyler continued to follow him, but more cautiously now, from a further distance.

Turning again to face the dead body, she aimed a black hole at it and watched it be sucked away to nothingness. She knew Kimberley was watching that. Watching with wide, awed eyes again. She didn't need to look to confirm it; she could feel her daughter's eyes on her back.

Re: World 12: Spies - RP Thread
The next day, Layla had reported the attack on her family to the others in Fallon Industries, though she kept silent about her eldest daughter's manifestation. There was no proof, but still everyone felt certain it'd be the same as the sabotaging group. The thought of the old contact, back in his apartment, was now burning in Drew's mind. Too risky, too little chance of success... that's what they'd said. That's what they'd decided. But he'd still kept it, and kept silent about it. And now...

It was a reckless idea. He knew that. And it wasn't like him - normally, he found it much easier to follow orders, follow the lead - but this time, this idea has clung to him, despite how it'd been rejected. He just knew it'd work, and he knew he was the only one able to pull it off.

Re: World 12: Spies - RP Thread
The man continued to walk and it seemed he walked in a kind of system. Like he had made a system of how to walk not to be followed, but because of Tyler's "talent" he didn't suspect him. After half an hour, he stopped in front of an apartment building that was so damaged, that it could almost be safer to be outside, instead of inside.

Re: World 12: Spies - RP Thread
Tyler watched as the man hesitated, but only for a second, before going in. He wondered idly why these always seemed to choose such rundown, almost-collapsing buildings for their bases and HQs, as he waited the neccessary time before following. The man was out of sight by then, of course. But the place wasn't complicated, so he could easily work out in which direction he'd gone.

Re: World 12: Spies - RP Thread
The man had entered the building and was moving towards one of the apartments, sometimes throwing paranoid glances over his shoulders, but never detecting Tyler. Then he stopped at the third apartment straight forward and entered it.

(I was imagining it as a simpler place There's no way Tyler could continue to follow him if its an apartment block)

Re: World 12: Spies - RP Thread
He headed upwards, and soon caught a glimpse of the man he was pursuing, just at the edge of sight. The man left the stairs on the third floor. Tyler could see him opening the door to the third apartment on the left, still hidden behind the stairs' door, watching through the glass pane. The man entered that apartment.

Tyler headed towards that door, though he knew he wouldn't be able to enter. These apartments were too small for him not to be caught. He could see this from how close together the doors were. He paused by the doorway though, and did his best to listen in. He could hear the voice of at least one other person in there, a male voice which seemed slightly familiar.
