Once when she was 14 she hit a boy really hard for bullying her younger sister Elizabeth instead of slapping him and he got concussion. This took everyone by surprise and she was punished for weeks. Her family want her to marry into another rich family and be a good housewife and mother but she is having none of it. She left them an explanatory note and she ran away.

Personality: Calvin is calm and wise, and not just streetwise. He has seen a lot of things in his life and he knows what it is like to kill others and see your friends die. His time in the army has made him very strong, physically, mentally and emotionally. He is trustworthy and loyal and he has a good moral compass. A good father, uses the right mix of kindness and discipline.
Brief history: Calvin was born into a large poor family and he and his brothers worked hard to gain respect and money to look after their family. They managed to get through high school despite racism and working the rest of the time, and they got decent grades. When the second world war started and America decided to lend a hand near the end, he and his brothers went to fight and he was the only one not to loose his life. He returned to his family in America and began working in a factory. He has avoided drugs and gangs and getting into trouble, but he is sometimes blamed for things because he is black.
