In Tamsin's presence, the man had no option except to tell the truth.

"He copied my ability, to delete abilities. He's going through his mind, finding those abilities which he as to delete. He must not be disturbed." he replied.

"Why is he in pain?" Jessica asked. The girls glared at him, thinking it was his fault that their Peter was in pain, even though Peter ability meant he copied abilities automatically.

"Some of them are wrapped around powerfully emotional memories, and sometimes removing them hurts. I don't know if removing abilities within yourself as I only have this one. Apparently, it does."

The group turned to look at Peter, concerned. The girls went to find something to mop his forehead with and wipe his chest with.

(love how the girls are so defensive of him!)

Peter tossed and turned. He was trying to remove Induced Radiation now. The Vulnerability Linked Power Absorption hadn't been too bad as there wasn't a huge emotion tied up with it.

However, this one did. In his dream, vision, whatwever it was, he watched himself meet Ted and blow up New York again and again, and seeing the raw destruction afterwards. A tear ran down his cheek.

(What no tears for Peter? )

Elan was sitting on the windowsill, staring into nothing, one hand resting loosely on her stomach. She smiled vacantly, but it soon faded.

Was I wrong in refusing to help? she asked no one in particular.

(OMG OMG hand on stomach? Preggers? Geez, OCs don't know how to use contraceptives at all.)

(She's been pregnant for ages And this is the only world where I've had a character really accidentally get pregnant)

No one answered. But she was sort of talking to herself. She was nervous. She knew she couldn't be that person any more, not the killer she once was, not with a child on the way. But it was the first time she'd chosen not to do something. To be passive. And she didn't really know if she could.

Peter walked through the streets of NY. Around him, people went about their daily business and the noise was vaguely comforting, but a feeling of dread hung about in his heart.
