You look guilty, observed Dani, although she knew she wasn't right. Maybe she looked a little guilty, but her emotions told a different tale.

You're hiding something, replied Dani, conceiving that as guilt.

I hide a lot of things, she shrugged. It was half-true - if you counted evading talking about her past, anyway. What do you think I'm hiding this time?

As a strand of hair fell over her eyes, she unthinkingly moved her hand to push it backwards.

OH MY GOD!! squealed Lily, appearing to hover off the ground for a minute as she hopped with excitement. Then she flung herself at Sky, all of this flying straight over Dani's head.

However, Lily's rush of excitement psyched her up and then she noticed - the glint as the sun reflected off the beautiful ring on Sky's wedding finger.

What's going on? Sky asked bemusedly, getting practically leapt upon and thrown backwards. She could sense their hyper excitement but not the cause.

Didn't notice your head had shrunk that much, she replied, thankfully not accidentally accessing her truth invocation as she spoke.

Dani didn't really notice, but it sent Lily into hysterics that resulted in her falling to the floor. She stood up again, then nearly fell back down when she saw Dani looking around for the source of her laughter

(Not gonna reverse it? )

Lily's laughter took a long time to eventually fade away, but it did and her attention returned to Sky's engagement. Who are you going to marry?! Can I be a bridesmaid?! Are you thinking chocolate cake or fruit? Because I hate fruit cake. Where are you going to have the reception?!

(Reverse what?)

I don't have a clue of the answer for most of those.... but it's Nick, she answered shily.

(Her shrunken head? )

NICK! I trilled, overwhelmed with happiness for the couple. I made it contagious, everyone in the surroundings filled with sudden joy. Lily provided the squealing as I hugged Sky.

(I said she didn't use that power )

Laughing and grinning at their first responses, Sky awaited the questions of where all of this had come from. She believed that it'd been completely secret before today.

How are you two engaged?! I swear you haven't even dated yet! Oh my God, is it one of the race things where you're meant to marry your.. what's he, your Guard or something? asked Lily, unsure of the old Atari rules.

He's my Guardian, and....no. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the other old bloods were completely furious when they hear of this, she answered, unable to completely suppress a grin at that.

Even better! Forbidden love, swooned Lily, childishly.

It must run in the family, she smirked. After a moment, she realised that she wasn't sure if she'd meant loving her Guardian there, or just generally going the opposite of what traditional old blood society wanted.

(I keep expecting Dani to interrupt and say that she's been sensing that Sky loves him for months )

Seems so, she laughed. She was wondering why the question of the engagement from seemingly nowhere had vanished off to, though.

(Sky was dead up until recently so.. )

So.. erm.. any reason why you guys didn't actually date - just wanted to skip right ahead to the wedding?

Dani chuckled The rate these two are going, the wedding's probably tomorrow..

(Nah, they were secretly dating for months, I just RPed it really quickly )

She chuckled.

Arranging that'd be a challenge.... and we've kind of been together for a while now. Since I got back.

(OH. then Dani may comment )

Thank God, commented Dani. He's been sickeningly in love with you for.. ages. And you with him for at least a while. If you two didn't get together soon I was going to have to force you to
