The man left the room to make the relevant call. Within seconds, Dani - the woman he'd called - had teleported to outside the building, and he was greeting her before introducing her to Kai.

Zach was over at Tyler's, the pair discussing the night before, when Kimmy began to cry. This set John off in tears, and Tyler's mum shouted for Tyler. Tyler sighed, and apologised to Zach but said he had to go. Zach shrugged, saying he would let himself out. It was only when he was outside that he realised how bored he was.

Before he could chicken out, he dialled Stiffy's number for the first time in nearly two weeks - the longest the pair had ever gone without talking. It rang several times, before there was a beep Hello?.. Hello? Hey, anyone there? Hiya. Hey, hello, hi, greetings, howdy! said Stiffy's voice enthusiastically before he laughed. I'm just fucking with you, leave me a message after the beep and y'know the deal

He hung up before the automated voice offered him anything else he could do, and he sighed a little. He sounded so.. stupid and desperate, but he was. He missed his friend. When his phone rang seconds later, he was already smiling, as he heard the song Stiffy in McDonalds by Blood Duster.

She took the pills and thanked her.
