World 11: Villains - RP Thread

Tim put his dirty clothes on, having nothing else to where and came out of his room hesitantly.

(Do you want Peter and Damien to turn up now, or later?)

Morning, I greeted Tim as he emerged from the room. Seeing that he was wearing the same clothes as yesterday, I offered to create some for him using Mental Projection.

(now would be cool, what ability does peter have just his normal canon one?)

Tim nodded. "Please." Although he wondered if they would feel the same.

Closing my eyes for a second, I concentrated and created a pile of clothing for him, also making a second pile for myself. It'd be better than continually borrowing from Zoe. I handed Tim's to him, then offered to go make some stuff for breakfast.

(i thought he would have ability replication?)

Tim grabbed the clothes and smiled widely, it was as if it was Christmas came early. "Thanks Amelle." After saying those words a strange thought came into his head of him rewording what he just said. Thanks Auntie Amelle.

I smirked, guessing what he'd almost said there, but turned back to the cooking. After a minute, the doorbell rang. I paused and turned the oven off as I went to answer the door. When I opened it, I was stunned, and unsure which of the 2 men standing there I'd least expected.

What are you doing here?! I gasped.

I got worried when I couldn't contact you, triangulated your last call. Then Peter teleported us here.

Tim went to change and was surprised how real the clothes had felt. He began jumping on the bed to test out how well they fitted him, joined in by Eve.

"I like your new clothes." She said happily.

"Thanks." Tim said stopping. "Who's that?" He asked, hearing whispers downstairs.

Eve looked intrigued and ran through the wall, downstairs. She came back after forty six seconds later and told Tim that two men were at the door.

Oh, was my only reply, stupidly unable to think of anything else to say. I'd been completely thrown.

You gonna let us in?

It isn't my place...

It's Zoe's he grinned. I've never met her, but I know.

(oh, does Zoe have a flat or apartment and does it have stairs?)

(An apartment, on the third floor of their building. Peter and Damien are at the door, out of sight from the kitchen where Tim is)

Tim was intrigued and wanted to spy but was scared in case he got caught, he told Eve to do his dirty work.

I faltered a little at that, shaken since I'd thought they'd known nothing of each other. It was only by accident that I'd met Zoe. LCP Corps had nearly caught her but I'd thrown the mission. Regaining myself, I let the two in, and went to see if Zoe'd woken yet.

Eve was standing next to Amelle, sniggering at the conversation.

Who's the new people? Zoe asked when I checked on her. I hesitated.

Damien found me....

The Damien? she asked, grinning. I nodded. She didn't mention the other man, too used to my issues to question the emotions she was sensing.

Eve was thinking to herself that this 'Damien' guy sounded kind of famous.

Damien sighed. He knew this about me; he'd seen it a million times by now. But he still didn't know what to do about it.

Amelle, you have to trust someone, especially now, he answered. With the government hunting you as well, it's too big for you.

And it isn't just you, remember? Peter interjected. We're all caught up in it.... even my own brother sold me out.

I winced at that little reminder. He'd mentioned it briefly, days ago, at the crash site, but it hadn't really struck me at the time. It must have been quite the betrayal. Especially for him. It made me wonder how he could still claim that trust was possible.

I couldn't face that conversation again, so I focused on Damien's points again.

I did trust you, remember? I turned to you straight away after the crash, I pointed out. And all I got was our people killed for their trouble....

We all risk ourselves daily against LCP Corps, he reminded me. This isn't that different.... we protect each other, Amelle. We have to. We're so few that we'd all end up dead otherwise.

I shrugged. That was true, and yet.... how would another attempt be different? The government had found us before, they'd do so again. And I was beginning to fear those agents as I feared my colleagues at LCP Corps.

What are you suggesting? I asked softly.

We can hide more deeply than we did before. If we go higher in our ranks.... to the very top....

Eve was listening in, shocked yet intrigued.
