Sienna continued running without any mind for where she was going, lost in the whirlwind of her thoughts. Her battering pain continued to rain on her. But she couldn't have done anything else, as she told herself.... she'd have lost herself if she had. Marrying Robert would mean marrying into the coven, into the royals. It'd been what she'd feared when she first met him and learned whose brother he was. It'd been what she'd foolishly thought she'd evaded when he said he claimed nothing.

She felt like she'd been running for hours, but she also felt she couldn't stop or slow down. If she did, she wouldn't be trying to get away from what she'd done. She'd hurt him.... it was that she was trying to escape.

Eventually, she caught herself in a tangle with all of her thoughts, endlessly arguing her decision and her words, and she lost all sight of her surroundings. She just ran on. She didn't notice as she was attacked from behind, grabbed and knocked out, carried away.

Robert had returned to the palace grounds almost as soon as Sienna had left, but he hadn't spoken with anyone. He'd chosen isolation. It took him hours to begin worrying that she hadn't returned. He thought briefly that maybe she was avoiding him, but when he asked Ash and Kitty both of her siblings said that they had no idea where she was.

I don't think anything's wrong, though, Ash tried to reassure him, seeing his worry. Robert shook his head. He had a bad feeling about all of this, but he just couldn't explain it.

That bad feeling grew as the hours passed. Eventually, he pretty much gave up, and ended up asking Astarte if she could summon Sienna back. She agreed to the request, and closed her eyes as she focused upon it. However, after a few minutes, she opened them up again.
