World 6: Awakened - RP Thread

It had been a long dinner and everyone was rather full. Ebon and Jennifer said their goodbye's to Mrs. Maddox as she left late in the night. Ebon continued to pack ready for his flight in a few hours. When the time came for him to leave, he kissed Jennifer on the cheek and disappeared in the car waiting for him outside the house. Jennifer went to her room and opened her wardrobe.

Jennifer got quickly changed and left the house moments later, she took with her a dagger which slid into her boot. She left the house and ran all the way to the top of the drive. She stopped and looked around, proud that she was not even breathless and waited for the taxi to arrive. It came not so long after, she got in and sat down.

"Downtown." She said.

"Where Downton?" Said the driver grumpily.

"I'll let you know when we get there."

Yeah, I'm here, he replied, walking out of a doorway. You don't have to be so nervous.

She nodded, though she was biting back the temptation to say that he would think so: he'd been used to this life and she wasn't. She let him silently lead her into the training room he'd just emerged from. Then her mouth dropped.

The driver took the long journey towards downtown and began driving around impatiently.

"Look lady, do you know where you want to go?"

"I will. STOP!" Said Jennifer once she saw a street name. She looked at it and smiled. "Just as I saw." She said to herself and got out of the taxi after paying the man.

(She has visions? )

The training room was incredible. That was her first thought. It ranged further than she could even see, and it was filled with thousands of things, everything she ever thought she'd need. Weapons and dummies and training areas and research books and weird pots of stuff........

It's just.... she gasped. Blaine chuckled.

It's pretty basic, actually, he corrected her. Every training building the family owned was like this. Let's get to work.

She walked down the dark and empty street looking out for something she knew would appear. Jennifer closed her eyes trying to listen our for any unusual sounds however she continued to walk expecting the unexpected. She looked at the bottom of the street towards the left where an old derelict bungalow was, she could hear movement, breathing.

Jennifer walked closer to the building until she was outside it. She opened the metal gate and walked towards the door. Jennifer stopped hastily knowing whatever was inside knew she was coming in and she was ready to put up a fight.

She didn't bother knocking the door and tried to turn the handle but it was locked. Jennifer walked around to the back of the bungalow knocking that if she smashed the front door down the neighbours would hear and get suspicious. Instead she broke one of the windows at the back as quietly as she could and crept through into a bedroom.

She stood up in the bedroom, adrenaline pumping around her body. From the outside it appeared the bungalow was very large and the room she was in was quite small. Almost instantly she held her nose, being shaken by the stench, she question what it may of been but the scent was recognisable. The bedroom was dark, dusty and full of cobwebs but looked untouched and still had dated furnishings and decor. Jennifer opened the door slowly and moved into what seemed the hallway. Again it was dark, she attempted to put the light on but it didn't work.

"I know your there." Jennifer said aloud. "I can hear you." She added.

Jennifer continued to look in every room from where she was standing. She withdrew her dagger and held it in her hand.

"I know what you are too." She smirked, and then the sound of breathing became heavy coming from the direction of the kitchen.

"So quiet for such a loud creature." Jennifer remarked entering the kitchen. She looked around knowing that the smell was not just emanating from the creature but from deceased animals and people. She stepped over one dead body of a man, who had dried blood that had dribbled out of his ear. His arm had appeared to been eaten. As she got closer into the kitchen she looked at the figure appearing to hide near the garden door. It was hiding behind a kitchen dresser that held plates although this one was empty. "Banshee."

The banshee moved out from her hiding place. She had long brown hair down to her knee's, bright blue eye's as if they could not exist on a human, a scar along her left chin and dried blood around her mouth and on the edge of her fingertips. Her nails were sharp to which Jennifer assumed she had used to rip into the flesh of the man and animals. Jennifer held her knife up high showing warning. The banshee looked at her without fear and opened her mouth.

(so are we saying that you can use stakes to kill vampires then :/)

(I am, it's totally traditional. I'd say stakes, beheading, fire, maybe sunlight)

Jennifer prepared for the unbearable screams that came her way- going on all fours. She winced in pain but slowly rose throwing her dagger with accuracy at the neck of the banshee. Blood began oozing out of the banshee's neck, she became silent and held the source of her pain. Jennifer edged closer to the banshee, she grabbed her dagger from the floor and cleaned it. The banshee was in pain as though unable to breathe, speak or scream, which was much to Jennifer's delight. she then noticed the trickle of blood streaming down her neck from her ears. Jennifer walked to the banshee and grabbed hold of her head and with one fast movement, she snapped it's neck.

Jennifer began to put the gas cooker on and left the house. It wasn't until she reached the bottom of the road until the bungalow blew up into flames. She then went to a near bar and waited for a taxi to take her home.
