He ran, for miles. Three hundred miles to Michigan, center. He calculated for a few seconds then realised he could be there in little less than a three days, if he didn't stop running. But he had to stop, now in fact. He needed food. The woods he choose weren't filled with hikers, there weren't even any in there. No one, empty. Just him, and his prey.
He spotted a mountain lion, big enough for two. She was hunting, he could hear her heartbeat, her every breathe, her movement. He could see the prey she had choosen, unaway that she was his prey. Just as she pounced for the rabbit, he leaped, and landed behind her. He ripped her fur, and licked her clean of the blood he craved.
He did the same thing with three other lions, one stag and then he was ready to leave. He ran again, for nearly two days. Not tiring, but getting thirsty, hungry, he needed to eat.

He looked around, searching for a wood, a forest, a farm. But he was in the city centre of a big town. There was nothing.
A wood?, a man told him. Not for thirty miles, that way. He gestured West. You a hiker, or something?
Something like that said Philipe with a horrible smile. It took all he had to stop from ripping this innocent man's neck and drinking.
As he began to run, he could hear the man pushing buttons on his mobile. Hurridly.
Stop, he told himself. He is innocent. He made himself calm, then hurried to the west. Thirty Miles. Twenty Miles. Ten Miles. Five Miles. Two Miles. One Mile. He stopped dead.
He could smell the wood, the humans, the hunters.

He knew what he had to do... he had to fight them. He could run away, he just couldn't. Not again. Never again. Even if it was the death of him, he wouldn't run.
He pounced on the furthest out man, and slit his throat, he was dead before he hit the ground. His wooden stake lay helpless on the floor. Phillipe dived and took out the second and third closest, but they were closing in. All of them, seven on one. He wouldn't make it, but there was no way out... none at all.

We need to help! We can't just let a vampire die.
Avril is running before Tannith (nickname, Tan? Tanny?) could even respond. She dives out of the wood, and sees the fight scene.
A man, clearly vampiric, was trying to escape the seven hunters chasing him. They were all in a circle.

Tannith runs after her, seeing the fight. She jumps at the nearest hunter, ripping at him with her claws. She knows they have to disarm them, with their weapons, even vampiric skin and healing prowess is no good.
