Possible case, she answered, laughing at her sister's state. Salt Lake City.

Wayward Daughter wrote: Instead, she just fell back into her seat. She'd buried her face in her hands, trying to think. Trying to manufacture up some solution, from somewhere. She couldn't just give up. But they'd tried everything, everything except for the horror of the dark magic cure.... she couldn't do that to Blaine either. Even if it could be done in a way that he'd never have to know about. So what could she do? Just mourn him? Just wait here? She knew that he'd be gone by the time she returned. Gone, one way or another.
One way, or another.... suddenly that thought struck her hard. What if he was gone only mentally? What if he was there, but completely lost? What would she do then? She knew what she'd have to do.... and then she remembered, then she realised what his almost spoken request had been, before. He'd been about to ask her to kill him. He wouldn't want to hurt anyone when he lost control of himself. He'd only stopped because the request itself would hurt her.... but then he'd gone on, he'd mentioned other hunters...

That thought was like a punch. Because she knew Blaine, and she knew that he'd have left already. It was probably the reason he'd asked her to leave. So that he could escape, and go find the nearest hunter he'd met before, and ask the man to kill him. She could picture it. Just one shot, merciful.... the image still hurt, though. It still burned.

And there was still nothing she could do. She couldn't interfere. Not when sparing her had been the last thing he'd tried to do. She still couldn't save him. She still didn't know what to do.

Nothing.... no, there wasn't nothing. She wasn't helpless. Not her. Suddenly, a new thought made her leap to her feet, race to the car and drive madly back to the warehouse, only to find that her brother had already fled. She floundered for a second, before realising that he'd left some amount of trail in his escape. She could follow that. She could make herself follow that. This time, she raced onwards on foot, following the way he'd fled before, catching up with him. The second she caught sight of her brother, she screamed at the top of her lungs.
BLAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BLAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: World 6: Awakened - RP Thread
The noise, the sudden shout, broke through to him. He'd raised his head before he could think.
Anya? he replied, automatically. Then he saw the gigantic smile covering her face. It was filled with joy and relief. What?
Then he realised more. Seconds ago, he had been lost, completely gone, turned feral. He hadn't known what he was doing. He'd just been running, almost hunting.... but he'd heard Anya. He'd reacted. He'd recognised her. Searching inside himself now, not only did he find that he was back in control, but there wasn't a trace of the lycanthrope infection.

How....? he asked weakly. She grinned as she bounded over to him.
Me, she replied cheerfully, then added more in a whisper. I altered reality. Made a cure exist, and made it have saved you.

Amy read it through, dripping water over it. She nodded with approval. Sounds like our sort of thing, she nodded. Leave in half an hour?

The journey was moderately uneventful - Nayeli was in a brilliant mood, providing light humour and insisting on reading their auras, despite this not actually being on of her powers. You're all going to die, she remarked to all of them with a laugh each time.
The time passed quickly enough and soon it was midday and they were standing around a motel car park in the sweltering heat. Nayeli, with her pale complexion, began to burn almost immediately but she shrieked with delight and insisted they all go to the beach. No one had the heart to tell her there wasn't a beach within the state.

Sure. It'll probably take that long to pack. You driving this time?

Err.. sure, why not? replied Amy, returning to her room to dry her hair and collect her things. The pair were on the road in exactly half an hour. The sunshine compelled Amy to push all the windows down and play the music at obnoxiously loud volumes.

I'm lazy, she'd retorted, before going to pack weapons and salt into the truck. She was already dressed and ready, just waiting on her sister. As they drove, she found herself singing along badly to the blaring music, even the songs whose words she didn't know, since then she just made up lyrics.

Amy laughed and joined in, the journey passing relatively quickly, the pair arriving in Salt Lake about half an hour ahead of schedule - the loud music didn't exactly slow Amy's driving down.

(You remember W5, W7? I want a reaction in W8 too )
Want to go check out the scene first or speak to people? she asked, getting out of the car.

People, decided Amy. Too hot for pantsuits. She parked nearby to the crime scene and suggested they ask the neighbours first.
By now Nayeli was growing slightly more lucid and agreed to accompany Dorian and Seth to check out the crime scene. Dexter paired with Don to speak to the family of the first victim and Isaac made the huge sacrifice of examining the bodies. The morgue was a little way downtown and when he arrived he had to hassle the rather too-relaxed police officers who seemed more pre-occupied with who was on break than what was actually going on.

Kate agreed, though she wondered when was the last time they'd put on any suits to break into a crime scene. Interviewing any witnesses would actually call for more formal clothes, if they were posing as some sort of officials like they usually did. She just dug around in the glove compartment for some IDs though, then followed her sister. They arrived at the nearest neighbour's doorstep and rang the bell.

For a moment he just stared at her, overwhelmed. She continued to grin. Her pride at managing to save him was obvious, written all across her face.
Thank you, he whispered. She chuckled.
What else are reality-altering half-sisters for? she laughed. I could hardly leave you be.

He shrugged, finding that trying to say a more serious thank you now would be awkward. Instead, he just laughed and smiled at her. They began walking back to the old warehouse building. However, when they arrived there, Anya was finding that the lump had returned to her throat. The place was reminding her how close she'd come to losing her brother. If she hadn't been able to find him, she wasn't sure if her cure would have worked.

Blaine didn't seem to notice this, as he headed for his car parked outside. She'd called out before she could stop herself. He turned around. She then realised that she had no idea what to say.
I... I'm just glad I managed to save you, ok, she whispered. I.... I'd have missed you.... otherwise...
Walking over, she found herself wrapping her arms around him, crushing him in a tight hug. It was a while before she could compose herself enough to let go. Only then did she say goodbye.

(Who's picking the monster/creature?)
Amy smiled when a young boy answered the door. Are either of your parents home? she asked, in the patronising tone almost all adults developed when speaking with children.
He nodded cautiously and shouted, DADDY! before retreating into the house. His father arrived at the door a few seconds later, picking up his son and looking at the two women on his doorstep.
How can I help you, ladies?

My name is Agent Monroe, this is my partner Agent Carson, she showed the fake badge, expecting him to ask if she hadn't. We're investigating the recent deaths of your neighbours. Can we ask you a few questions?

Brenner hadn't heard from Bethany for a week but then she contacted him out of the blue.
I think I've found something, she began. A fear demon, somewhere in the docks.
Fear demon? he questioned. She nodded.
Yeah. It senses people's fears and makes illusions of them, traps people in them. I think it somehow feeds off the fear, but I'm not certain of that part.
