Sapphire had flumped onto the bed of yet another motel room. She didn't even know where she was anymore. She didn't care. All she could do was keep running.
She thought about it, she'd noticed that she didn't need to eat more despite all the activity. Lucky that. And weird. And she really needed to plan. If only there was somewhere she could find out more about this stuff. Someone she could ask......
Suddenly she remembered the young man she'd met before. The black guy. He'd seemed the same age as her, but he'd had an air of authority, like he knew what he was doing. She dug the card from her bag, and left the room to find a payphone.
