I walked back into the house. Cody back upstairs not socialising, and Tracy trying to take care of all the kids. I put on a brave face and asked if they were hungry. I never exactly knew when Peter was coming back, when he will pick them up so i tried to make them feel welcome.

Tracy looked after the kids whilst i went to Cody's room. I closed the door, and lay on Cody's bed. I gave him a hug, trying to make sure he was ok.

It only took a moment. He was sitting there beside his wife, her hand still in his, as he made his heart slow down, his breathing stop, and his life leached out of him. Slowly, his eyes fell closed, and he dropped beside her. Joined in death.
