She froze at that, for a second, disbelieving her ears. But, deep down, she knew it had to be true. Her ability didn't lie, it gave the truth, and she knew that'd been its doing, just then. She was also certain that she hadn't misheard, despite how she wanted to cling to that chance, that false belief. Her cousins were really there, cousins she hadn't even known she had, trying to raid this place, or escaping after being caught. And in order to keep her cover, she really ought to recapture them. What could she do?

Her immediate reaction was a forthright, strong refusal to even consider trying to recapture. But then reality fought against that, fought against her emotions and her principles, reminding her that her life - and much more - was at stake, here. Guiltily, she tried to tell herself that maybe her cousins would escape again, trying to convince herself that she wasn't going to sell them to their deaths in order to save her own skin.

She shook her head, barely unable to believe what she was doing, as she made her slow way out of the room. She walked down the corridors, her movements going far too fast, but not daring to move any slower, either, for fear of raising suspicion. She couldn't accept that she was doing this. But she had to, didn't she? She had to.

(Future Noah Gray and his half-sister, future Kaylee Parkman, raided Pinehearst to try to rescue his aunt, Andrea Maxxted, who was captured there. But they got trapped, and she was already dead. They tried to escape, and now my char Sable, who's working at Pinehearst while spying on them, has to decide whether to help them escape or help recapture them in order to keep her cover)

Still she walked onwards, almost inevitably, as her thoughts saw it. She could hear the other agents also pouring, from all directions, none of them feeling the same turbulent storm as she did. None of them feeling this sting of betrayal. Yes, it was neccessary. She knew that. She knew that the information she'd continue to gain here would be worth any price. But that didn't quell the storm, and it didn't stop the hateful whisper of "traitor" in her ear.

The corridors all began to look the same as Kaylee tried to find their exit. Noah was in no shape to be making life-affecting decisions for them, and she had to admit, she didn't really care for her half-brother, but she wasn't a monster, she could sympathise. She found a flight of stairs, and decided that anywhere closer to the ground was better, leading them down, and when she pulled the door open and found two guards, she simply flicked her finger, and they were thrown against the wall

By now, she'd reached her post, and was waiting with a group of about 10 other agents. Dimly, she could hear the sounds of fighting and crashes and doors falling off their hinges, as the escapees got closer. No, not "the escapees". Her cousins. Try as she did to forget that, she couldn't. The taste of betrayal was getting more and more bitter.

He looked down, purposefully ignoring eye contact. I'm fine, he said, his tone insistant and annoyed. She had spent his entire life not giving a shit about him, why did she have to start now? A large part of him wanted to say that this was her life as well, but he knew that wasn't just it.

Claude had now spent every afternoon on that balcony, to which he allowed his thoughts to raom freely. And again, the same bird had arrived. The one green allover with the cream beak. The sund of it had pissed Claude off, but the noise was drowned off with his thoughts.
Silence was too much to ask for, nothing ever was right. Not when your loved one had passed away. What was worse than that? Dying yourself- No. Family dying, although how miserable and pain killing it would be, it isn't the same. Having that person there, the person you let read the written pages of your heart, that very person who knew you for who you were and them the same was the only person who matter'd in the world. To have that person care for you, and do anything for you and to know that they were no longer present in the world was unbareable to imagine let alone to live. At that feeling to know that Lizzie was no longer belonged to Claude who would do anything to have that feeling fade away.

Upon sight, the agents aimed their weapons, those with offensive abilities also preparing theirs. The first attack, a stream of electricity, narrowly missed Noah. Sable instantly froze. For all of her thinking she'd made her decision...... now..... she forced herself to raise her gun, take aim. She made herself miss, though. But it was a close miss, near enough to look accidental, actually nearer than the others' misses.

Again the bird kept chirping and Claude was even getting to the stage to throw something at it, until something tickled his brain and made him look at the bird in an unusual light. Something was wrong with it. Its wing was injured and it flapped over to Claude and then popped onto his laptop inside the house. He followed the bird and watched it type six letter. L-I-Z-Z-I-E.

Noah and Kaylee managed to look totally unbothered by the take, as Kaylee returned the electricity, and throw some flames at one of the closer agents as well. Noah reached into his back pocket out of habit, looking for his gun, but of course, he hadn't even brought that to this timezone, and cursed himself mentally as he ran forwards, taking out one guard with speed, simply touching the man's temple and he dropped to the ground

Soon the agents were dropping almost like flies, 3 already down. Sable continued her firing, glad that it'd been her Information Production she'd admitted here, so they hadn't expected her to have an offensive ability or tried to give her one. The fight went on. They'd backed down a corridor, winning the siblings some ground, but now the survivors were holding firm in a doorway.

Kaylee continued to throw flames at the agents, and Noah had run out of bullets from the gun he had collected. He gave himself Enhanced Speed, and dashed forwards, breaking one of the agent's necks before the man even knew what had hit him. He threw another punch, another crumpling to the floor at skin contact
