Another 2 were fighting Kayleigh's fire. Sable was the only other one. She was still pretending to be fighting while really missing, expecting one of her "colleagues" to catch the 2 at any moment.

Kaylee grew bored of throwing fire, and entered the fight, grabbing one of the men by the neck and caused radiation to start burning through this throat, while fire began to half-heartedly chase after the Speedster, as she was unable to really concentrate on what where he was. Noah paused long enough to notice the radiation, and knew that if this fight didn't end soon, it would end in explosion.

Hearing the sound of approaching footfalls, Sable realised there'd be reinforcements coming soon. Her cousins both seemed to caught up in their fights to know. It was a large number, too..... they'd probably be caught instantly. Again, her conflict rose up in her, being torn between helping capture them in order to keep her cover, and protecting them. Before she knew it, her next shot had hit the speedster Noah was duelling. Then the second hit Kaylee's opponent.

Even before she had the chance to feel alarmed over what she'd done, her decision was made anew. She'd been wrong before. Stepping backwards, she made sure her next feint of an attack would be off-balance, giving them the chance to break past her. That way, they'd escape before the others arrived.

Sable was blown backwards for a second as they blurred past, disorientated by more than the passing speed. Why had she done that? She knew the reason.... but she'd decided.... she didn't know what she'd decided, anymore. She only knew what she'd done.

Hearing the approaching footsteps, she forced herself to recover, and raise her head. She glanced their passing faces for any sign of suspicion. She wasn't sure.... should she use her stealth, or not? Better do... just in case. No risk could be too little, in her circumstances.

Kaylee knew well enough by now that she wasn't welcome to follow him. Her voice was bitter as she whispered after him. This was fun. We should do it again sometime.
Noah heard but didn't bother to reply, as he climbed the flight of stairs to his apartment, knowing Red would be inside. He didn't even pause to think what to say to her, throwing the door open. She was sitting on the bed, and jumped at the noise
How was it? Did you save her? asked Red, immediately, but she was observant enough to notice the look on Noah's face.
Did you kill her? he demanded, his voice calm at first. He was a good foot taller than her, and he stood a few centimetres from her, looking down at her with disdain

Eventually, she managed to persuade herself that she'd done so, and she didn't have any doubts as she returned home. None really. She just had this little suspicion, but that was probably just needless worrying, she told herself. She wouldn't even tell Taylor. He worried enough over what she did as it was.

A few more weeks passed, pretty much the same. Slowly, she began to completely forget the incident with her cousins' escape, pushing it away from her mind. Until one day.

Almost exactly the moment after Aidan had laid the phone on the table a tone was heard. That was a fast reply! Aidan looked at it, it was a text with one word, yes. Aidan made himself ready and drove towards Dawns house. He stopped and bought some flowers, just acting like the gentleman he was. When he was in front of dawns house he stopped. Then he texted back. Look outside!
