Really? he chuckled a little, sipping his scotch.

Yeah, I heard you were gonna be here, she giggled, and he gave her a strange look at that one.

Who told you that..? he asked, a little freaked - who the hell was this girl and how did she know where he was going to be?

You really can't remember a thing, can you? she laughed once more. Zach gave her one last insane look, before saying he was just going to talk to someone and walking away. He could hardly act surprised that she followed after him, not unlike a lost puppy.

Okay, really, he said, when he had crossed the room and she was still chasing after him Do I know you or something?

Of course, silly, she chuckled, relieved he had finally asked.

If I slept with you, then screwed you over, I'm really sorry, he blurted, and she laughed.

You didn't screw me over, I left early so that I could see the look on your face when I told you

Hearing the doorbell ring again, I excused myself and moved to open it. Claire and Gretchen, this time, with their newly adoptive daughter, Ella. I'd heard of that through work, recently, though I didn't know if anyone else had, and I wondered how they'd react.

There's nothing normal about the way we feel, Zachy, she grinned broadly, and he shuddered a little.

I'm gonna need a stronger drink, he concluded after a few more seconds thought.

Abbie and Matt went over with Emma to meet the new girl. Emma grinned brightly at the Ella from Matt's arms, and Abbie introduced them

Isn't it weird to already know that? she asked, still a little on edge.

Not really, Daniella answered, chipping in as she passed. And you're meant to say your name back, Ella.

How is it weird? inquired Emma, wondering if she was going to freak the girl out like she did most people when she talked.

Abbie laughed at Daniella's appearance t's nice to meet you, Ella.. I'm your adoptive second cousin. And this is Daniella - she's your future adoptive second cousin by marriage

I time travel, Dani answered nonchalantly, like it was the most casual thing in the world.

And I can do pretty much everything, grinned Abbie. You.. can turn into birds, talk to machines and.. make explosions

You're gonna work out pretty soon - there is no such thing as 'impossible' in this family, said Matt.

You haven't noticed the others yet? asked Abbie

She shook her head.

Only the explosions, she repeated. But they said I had another 2, and they said I could make those more than explosions, too.

That could have just been Yaeko's, though, Daniella pointed out. Seconds later, Ella accidentally proved her wrong, by turning into a magnificently beautiful hummingbird.

Abbie chuckled, as she turned back into a human But it wasn't, she said, sticking her tongue out, as she watched the humming bird.

Maybe not, Daniella admitted, having really just wanted to point out that possibility. She'd known it'd been Ella's ability, she'd sensed it. She too watched the hummingbird, and giggled when Ella dipped to touch her arm, then flew over to Abbie.

(Did she crash or just fly downwards quickly?)

(Kinda half crash. But she didn't have much to fall once she returned to human size, so she's not hurt)

Meanwhile, Peter was currently talking to Nathan, inquiring into the slight anxiousness he was sensing from him.

It's nothing, Pete, honest, he replied, reflexively, then realised.

Wait.... that was a lie.... why didn't you call me out on it?

It was a lie? But it didn't tingle..... but you saying it was didn't, either...
