Another week had passed before Rooreru caught a flight back to Tokyo. She claimed that it'd taken her that long to arrange time off work. Straight away, she went to visit her brother and sister in law, congratulating them on her new niece and dropping off presents for the baby.

She spent the afternoon visiting them, but as it began to turn into evening she headed home. She decided to walk back to her apartment. It wasn't far from their place to her apartment, and it wasn't as if she couldn't look after herself if anything happened. Besides, she wanted the time alone to think. She didn't realise until she was passing it, but her route took her past the gardens were she and Eoin had been married. A lump rose in her throat when she did register that, when she saw it. It'd only been just over a year ago.

She swallowed that lump awkwardly, brushing away the tears which were suddenly threatening her eyes. It was stupid, she told herself. This place didn't make Eoin's loss any more real or present. His absence hurt her every day. She was just going on, struggling on, because she had to. Because Aito needed her. And because it was what her husband would have wanted. Would have.... even thinking that, just now, hurt, because it was in the past tense.

She tore her eyes away from the place, and began walking again. She was trying to walk fast, as if trying to escape her thoughts, her memories. Impossible, of course. She let herself into the apartment. Then she found herself with nothing to do. She wished she could use the excuse of going to work, but she didn't have a shift til this evening. Aito hadn't returned to Japan with her. He was currently staying with Sean and Sinead, apparently spending a lot of time pestering his younger cousins.

Rooreru didn't stay in Japan long. Before a week had passed, she was flying back to America. She used the excuse of not wanting to be away from her son that long, but whenever someone asked why she hadn't just brought him with her, she evaded the question. She wasn't really sure why she wanted to go back. There were more memories of Eoin in New York. It ought to have been more painful. But maybe the memories were what she was returning to.

Once she was back there, she began burying herself in work again. She took as many shifts as she could, and begged for more. She knew what she was doing. Evading. Because going back to that empty apartment of theirs just hurt.

The months passed, and Keitaro continued to try to force these new visions. Still they didn't work. Well, not always. They'd work sometimes, when he tried focusing on something else, another aspect of the future, but most of the time he got nothing at all or something he hadn't sought. He never got anything of Eoin. No clue of how to save his brother in law. He kept trying.

Three more months passed. Sinead had gone into hospital back in New York and had her twins, two boys this time and only two weeks premature. This pair weren't identical. They'd been named Adair and Farrell.

Their older sisters hadn't seen them for more than 5 minutes before Moira was voicing her disappointment that they weren't identical. She was confused, and kept saying that they shouldn't then be twins. Caylee joined in next. She was just disappointed that at least one of her younger siblings wasn't a girl.

Rooreru stayed visiting them at the hospital for another hour, then she left, going to pick Aito up from her mother in law's and then returning back to the apartment. Sinead was discharged soon after. She and Sean took both sets of twins back home.

Over the weekend, Molly went to visit Keitaro. She walked from the subway station to his apartment block, grabbed an elevator and then rang his doorbell when she arrived. She was grinning when he answered.

Do you think you can do that?! she asked hurriedly, amazed. She knew that Company agents had tried to heal and revive him, knew that Rooreru and Keitaro had already tried the same. Nothing had worked. If it had, he'd have been back already.
