(Yeah, sure, only that they're missing though. No one can detect anything more)

Re: Heroes RP World 2 - Reflections
(Okay )
It was at work the next day that I overheard something about my nieces. Immediately curious, I demanded to know what had happened.. and the news froze me. I couldn't move for a second - everything, it had just got better.. Daphne was engaged, I had my children. It made sense that everything had to go wrong again soon. But they were.. five. It was just too young to be missing for the second time!

Re: Heroes RP World 2 - Reflections
As soon as I'd gotten into work the next day, I couldn't stop plaguing the clairvoyants for any news. It was still negative, though. Still nothing. And I'd suspected it really, because Peter had been searching nonstop since yesterday, using clairvoyance and answer production and sensing and instincts and pretty much every possible ability at his disposal. And he hadn't gotten a thing. If he couldn't find something out, who could?

Even though I knew all that, though, I kept asking. I couldn't do anything else. That's what the worst part was: the helplessness. Not even knowing anything. I couldn't really do a thing, apart from wait, and hope. I was doing that with all I had in me.

There's nothing, I'm sorry, the clairvoyant replied, shaking his head, real sorrow in his voice. I turned away. I couldn't look at anyone now; I couldn't face this. Not again. None of us even had a clue about what had even happened.

Re: Heroes RP World 2 - Reflections
I had asked Abbie and Noah to search, but I knew that Peter would already have the answer if they had a hope. It was stupid, how could this happen? Were we cursed as a family? Every time everything seemed to be going right, the ground was ripped out from underneath our feet again. And no matter how many times it happened, I never got used to - it never stopped me worrying about how it might be permanent, this time

(We are cursed as a family )
Numbly, I just thanked him for his effort and left, going upstairs and into my office. I closed the door behind me and tried to sink into the work. I couldn't focus though.... I kept worrying. Kept fearing. Every time something like this happened, it didn't change: it always felt permanent, real.

Every time I as much as saw the shadow of someone passing the door, I'd raise my head, hoping desperately that it'd be someone coming to say that they had news. At this moment, I was beginning to think that any news would be good news. Any news would be better than this helpless, agonising nothingness. They were my daughters, and I couldn't do a thing to save them, I didn't even know where they were.

Re: Heroes RP World 2 - Reflections
When this morning came, I tried to force the best smile I could, and forget my worries for the day, it being Nathan's birthday. It was hard though, and I suspected he was worrying too. He wasn't as talkative as usual. He didn't even ask to go bring Daniella here.

( SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG! )
I made a note to drop off Nathan's card and presents later, wondering if I'd be able to get some work done today. I hadn't for the past few days, ever since the news had come in. Well, no.. the absence of news had

Mammy, when are Amber and Hayley coming back home? he asked. I couldn't answer. The very question made me choke up. He noticed that, and looked away, disappointed. He'd hoped that if he'd make their return his birthday wish, it'd make some difference.

For a moment, he kept on wishing, but really he knew that it wouldn't work like that. It wouldn't be that simple. He couldn't save them just by wishing it - actually, he couldn't save them at all. He hadn't been able to warn or protect them.
