Everyone rode in Tyler's car which meant they soon arrived at their destination. Both Neil and George mentally and physically prepared themselves. This lead could be what would make, or break, the case.

As they exited the car, Tyler prepared a series of strong shockwaves in his hand. He wasn't sure what they'd be facing here. None of them were. The precognitive report had been vague, stating that they'd faced resistance in gaining any information at all. That made him cautious.

Neil cautiously looked around, approaching a door. Neil tries opening it but it's locked.

George moves Neil out of the way and touches the lock, which openes with a clicking sound, like if they had had the key all along.

Tyler nodded to himself, remembering George's power to remove obstacles. He didn't see him use it that often, so sometimes others could forget. Tyler was the first to enter. The other two were in the middle and then Liam led the rear. The corridor was long, dark and empty. Their footsteps echoed slightly despite the fact that they were walking softly.

Neil had his gun ready and place his other hand near his body for stability and better aim in case he would have to use his ability.

George slowed down a bit so he walked slightly beside Neil, checking around him as they all walked through the corridor.

Eventually they rounded a corner, and found a door just behind it. Tyler stepped up to test it, but then stopped. Even through the metal he could hear raised voices, not shouting or arguing but talking loudly enough to be heard. It seemed like there were several people inside there. He signalled to the others that they were going in, then released powerful seismic waves to smash down the door. It blew in, pieces striking the nearest man inside.

The men inside immediately went on the defensive ans started attacking.

One of them started aiming a gun but Neil easily shot a web that wrapped itself around it and with a quick flick of his wrist, the gun came flying across the room back to Neil who grabbed it. He used both guns to aim them at two of the men, stopping them from taking further action.

Meanwhile, George had managed to get a hold of another one in a firm grip, using him as a shield.

A woman and a man in the room started yelling something in a foreign language in order to talk without being understood. However, they all knew english since they had heard them talking it before smashing the door in. The language however, was one that neither George or Neil spoke.

Tyler ignored the unintelligible babble, focusing completely on his fight. The man he'd first hit had gotten to his feet by now, and had reached for a gun concealed behind one of the tables. Tyler hurtled another shockwave at him. He dove behind that table to shield himself, so that flecks of wood flew into the air instead of him being hurt. Bullets flew from the gun's barrel. Some hit Tyler, but they were deflected by his armour.

I've just noticed that I really can't stop switching between past and present form of writing. Must be my damn screenwriting education messing with me. Laughing

)

Suddenly, a gun was pointed to Neil's head. The woman must have left no sound as she had sneaked up on him. The cold metal was pressed against his temple.

Close-bitten, the woman spoke harshly into his ear.

"Drop your guns. Now."

Neil did as he was told. Slowly he dropped his guns to the floor. As he rose from the ground again, he was spun around by the woman. Wrong move.

Neil looked into the woman's cold eyes and spoke softly. "You want to defend me."

As soon as he spoke, the two men he had pointed his guns against was behind him. One of them was knocked down by the woman but the other man, large and muscular, knocked her out with one blow.

He then turned to Neil and with a swift blow, Neil was hit to the ground. Disoriented he tried regaining his balance as the man approached for another attack.

Tyler aimed another shockwave, and another. The first was again deflected by the table's shielding, but the second struck the man's hand. Tyler saw him grimace in pain and guessed that it'd broken some bones as well as the weapon. Not that this made much difference in his behaviour. He dropped the gun's remnants and threw himself against Tyler, causing them both to fall backwards. Punches rained in on his head. Tyler fought back, but the guy had some sort of forcefield surrounding his skin, shimmering barely visible, having a similar protective effect to Tyler's own.

(Do we want to bother making names and small pages on the wiki for these villains?)

George had managed to take his guy down and quickly went to Neil's rescue. However, as George tried to grapple the large guy, he was easily thrown off and smashed into the wall, like he was nothing more than a fly.

George groaned in pain as he reached for his gun.

Neil shot strings of web to try and bind the large man's feet together, but the webs easily broke when the man took a step.

Suddenly, a dark and monotonic voice fills up the entire room but the owner seemed to be nowhere to be found.

"Previous instructions nullified. New instructions: Elmiminate."

The large man shows off a sadistic smile before rising his fist and punching the floor where Neil was moments ago.

Neil rolled aside and is now up on his feet. By shooting a web around the ceiling beam of the room, Neil manages to swing for extra force and with the help from George who has recovered, they manage to knock the large man back. Knocking him unconcious.

I did for my earlier group who were fighting against Fallon Industries)

Liam had spent the entire fight caught in one battle, like Tyler. His opponent had been almost playing with him, he felt. The man could throw fire and was keeping him trapped by the flames, forming a cage using incendiary streams. When the instruction came, he immediately changed track. Liam was ablaze before he could even think. The fire raged around him, but slowly the wounds healed, and the man could only stare, stunned by shock. Liam grinned. He mentally threw out a thanks to Naomi and their shared bond before throwing a punch at his opponent. Because of his shock, he didn't block in time, this time. He was knocked out unconscious instantly.

He kicked out, and felt his foot sink deep into the other's flank. The guy hissed in pain. Another punch landed on Tyler's jaw. He spat out blood, his head now spinning. The man's attacks were stronger; his forcefield, unlike Tyler's, also increased his physical strength. That was giving him an edge. And although he was battered and bruised, his face purple by now, he seemed to be able to drive himself on and force himself to ignore the pain he had to have been feeling - no doubt another ability. In such close quarters Tyler couldn't really rely on shockwaves so he was confined to physical contest.

(Yeah. That's true. )

Neil and George, finished with their own attackers, turned to Tyler and Liam to see if they needed help. Liam had knocked his guy unconcious but Tyler was still fighting.

George noticed Tyler's opponent ability and how it was giving Tyler some trouble. After taking a deep breath and focusing on his opponent, George removes the guy's forcefield. Every hit Tyler was throwing now hit their target.

With the next punch, the flickering suddenly vanished. Tyler's hand sank into his face, resulting in quite a satisfying crunch. Blood gushed out as the man backed away and raised a hand to his nose. It was clearly broken. He grimaced, but gritted his teeth and threw himself against Tyler again. Before he reached, though, Tyler had projected a shockwave outwards, so that he collided into it and got hurtled skywards into the roof.

Neil started looking around the room for another door and found one, hidden behind the large man that he and George had knocked unconcious.

George started looking around the room to make sure they didn't miss anything that could be useful later on.

Liam shrugged. His guess would be that there was. After all, they hadn't faced anyone who had teleported during the fight, neither had they seem whatever gruesome method had killed the senator and partially liquidised his body.

George didn't find anything out of the ordinary so Neil opened the omniously unlocked door just to enter another corridor. An almost exact copy of the one before.

Cautiously Neil proceeded through the darkness, with their steps echoing and something dripping further down.

Tyler followed Neil, and Liam followed Tyler. This corridor was as eerily empty and silent as the last one. The building felt like it was made entirely of corridors. There were occasional doors on the sides, but each one proved to be locked when tested, and there was no sound or sign of life within. The priority was capturing the suspect they'd been sent here for, so they left those rooms alone.

Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere the figure of a man appears in front of them in the dark corridor.

He starts running, turning into another corridor to his right. His behaviour felt very much like that of a decoy. He awaited Tyler's orders.

Seeing this man, Tyler began pursuing. He was faster though, so Tyler couldn't catch up at all. Liam noticed this, and tried to absorb the target's kinetic energy, forcing him to stop. Somehow though, it didn't work. The attempt slipped right off him. The man raced up to another doorway and walked right through it.
