Think I'll be heading back to the states for a while, tomorrow, she heard Keitaro say. There's just.... too much, here.
Eoin nodded, agreeing with that, though Sinead wondered if it'd be healthy for him to do so. Wasn't it basically just running away? She said he'd be welcome to stay with her and Sean in their home, though, or just visit, worried about him being alone.

Liz barely waited to say goodbye to everyone, unwilling to stay a moment longer - she hadn't been able to let herself say goodbye to Rooreru.. the funeral hadn't helped the pain.

The day passed, and the next morning, they all caught a flight back to New York, their mood still sombre. Sinead and Sean were talking softly, reminiscing of when they'd first met Rooreru, but Keitaro was quiet beside then as he listened. He didn't seem to have any words.

Shiv was abnormally well behaved the next day, as if she seemed to sense that her mother still wasn't in the mood to tell her off for anything. He sat down, looking around again, but he wasn't really seeing the place. He was lost in memories. There were so many.... so many little things. A lifetime's worth. The pieces seemed to fall together instantly, and he picked the girl up without expanation or hesitation, beginning to negate her. Then he paused. This alone wouldn't be enough... and he had to remain here.... who else could help? He froze for a moment, before remembering Liz. It was only her, now. Digging into his pocket with his free hand, he pulled out his cellphone and dialled her number.
