I finally managed to calm the idiot woman down, and went to check on the reports of the earliest recapturing attempts. They weren't good. The escapees seemed to be working together, and a few of the agents already needed healing due to their failed fight.

I sighed, rubbing my eyes tiredly. This really was chaos. And giving up was impossible, but for a moment it really was tempting. I hated the fact that so many years of our hard work was now effectively wasted, with these dangerous lunatics free again.

I wondered dimly if there was any chance of recapturing them, though I knew there was no purpose in thinking that way. We would try.... and we would succeed. Eventually. We just had to. Somehow, in my twisted version of logic, that meant that we would.

Seeing that surveillence had picked up the location of that Death Inflictor I'd brought in before, I got to my feet and said goodbye to Pippy, choosing this mission for myself, unless she'd like to partner me?
