World 9 - Mythical Crossover

Dryad walked forward and raised her head to the sky, Dryad never spoke unless someone adressed her directly but she spoke now. She spoke slowly and when she did it was echoing as it the air itself was speaking her words, There is going to be a lot of death today. With death must come life because that is the order of things, with death there must come life. The balance of life must go undisturbed.The balance of life must go undisturbed. The balance of life must go undisturbed.The balance of life must go undisturbedThe balance of life mu- Dryad's legs where changing, turning themselves into the shape of tree roots. As she chanted she grew more and more treelike, blending herself into the earth and gaining all her power. A small shoot grew up quicker, so fast that blinking could mean missing it. Then another and another and yet another shoot grew. The shoots surrounding them, more and more at an alarming pace. Then they grew up taller and taller. They grew and grew up they became saplings, then young trees, then to ancient trees with strong roots and many leaves.

The ground began to shake violently. So violently that Aira and Sabastian had to hold onto trees to keep upright. They looked down towards Oherin. A massive crack had been created underneath Oherin, and it was widening.
Then, as if out of the corner of her eye Aira saw the next phase of their plan. Tree roots shot out of the crevice, taing on a life of their own. They wrapped around buildings and squezed until they cane tumbling down. They killed anyone in the vicintity.

Aira had to look away as she heard the screams of horror from below.

(I'd always imagined Oherin with a protective shield around it but oh well)

She was walking back home, with her mind far away and half-dazed, when the attack began. The earth started shaking, and her mind leapt back to her childhood and the earthquake which had struck Milan when she'd been 5. The earth began splitting, and reflexively she placeshifted out of its path. The branches and roots which spiralled towards her met their end in cyan flames.

(No one told me that , I don't know, find the person who casts the protective shield dead in a cupboad or something, we could have had he killed )

Stage 2 complete, now onto stage 3, Sabastian looked up calmly and watched as Jace nosedived down towards Oherin, roaring. The sound terrified Aira to her bones, she wasn't cut out for this.

Stage 3 underway, now we need stage 4, Sabastian looked at Aira Time to play your part.

Aira walked forward and gulped, she looked to the sky. She spoke clearly and powerfully the words of the Old Religion and her eyes glowed golden.Let it rain, he smirked, rain means no fire, no fire means no destroying the roots.

The rain pelted hard down their backs.

(LMAO. Does he really think they can't create fire in rain? Or that they have no other means to remove or manipulate the roots?)

She continued to burn her way through the roots, throwing her cyan flames in all directions. They were reflecting wildly in her eyes. All around her, the neighbours were pouring out and fighting in their own ways to defend their homes. Some were conjuring rocks to fill the earth cracks, while more were throwing various attacks at the assailants, whipping winds and flames and the rain itself along a million forceblasts back towards them.

Dryad howled in anger, How dare they attack thine Earth! How dare they interfere with nature's plan! How dare they dispute my judgement on their lives!.The ground began to shake violently, so violently that Aira feared for her own life. The new born trees began to shake and so were uprooted. Even though Dryad had promised them they would be fine, she couldn't help but think that Dryad had forgotten them and was now on her own personal vendetta.

Jace roared and swooped down from the sky. He sent energy beams towards the building, strong enough to destory them. But something was wrong, the attacks seemed to glance off for some reason. I HATE protective shields.

Jace tried a different tack, he swooped down lower towards the leviataing things below. He opened his jaws wide and released a powerful energy beam and held it there. He kept doing this until the shields failed under the people were roasted below. Everything time another time Jace roared in approval.

Rako jumped off of Jace's back and somersaulted onto a nearby building. There were people inside. She sprinted over to the door and ripped it open. She roared and brought out her claws. Rako moved fasted than they reacted, she killed anyone who wasn't fast enough to repel her.

A man burst into the room with tears in his eyes and streaming down his cheeks. Not my bloody children beast!!! With that he began throwing streams of fire towards her, he encompassed her body in it.

Rako's eyes blinked simultaneously.

She ran towards him with renewed ferocity at her still flaming skin. He was too shocked at her limited reposnse to her flaming flesh that she ripped his head off with her hands without much resistance.

Jace was thrown backwards in the sky, winded. He roared in anger as his leg lost all feeling, it hung limb at his side. I will avenge my leg but orders are orders. But now before I do this.

Jace didn't know who had hit him but he didn't care. He sent an energy beam at the top of the main building in the centre, the castle. He attacked the tip and the rest of it came crumbling down, bricks killing everything they hit.

Rako's vision flickered. She stopped and remembered her training. If something like this happens it means I've been injured, the fire might have done it. Humans get badly hurt by fire all the time, it must be the fire. She walked calmly over to the larder and looked round for a liquid, she found a bucket of milk and poured it down her back, the fire seemed to disappear but her vision didn't return.

I should retreat and seek medical help

The towers which were struck began to crumple, their pieces cascading downwards into the flames which now consumed the lower tiers. Seeing that, her hate - which she'd previously thought too strong to strengthen further - transformed into pure loathing. She raised her arms once more, and threw her entire strength upwards into a targetted death spell. Doom would come to those who had destroyed her home like this. She would make certain of it.

Rako noticed something moving towards her at high speed. She had a decision to make, attack her persuaer or obey and retreat. Rako had always been loyal and she didn't have to think much. She ran.

Rako ran to the ledge and searched for Jace, he was a little to her left. Rako lept off, soaring through the air. From nowhere, she was thrown back. Something had hit her mid air. Rako blacked out, her heat stopped. She fell limbly through the air to the ground.

Jace, unaware of what had transpired behind him, flew back over the wall and back towards the hill where Sabastian, Aira and Dryad were standing. He landed beside them and said, My left back leg, I can't feel it.

Aira rushed over, said some words from the Old Religion and healed it. They looked over to Sabastian for further orders.

(Rako got hit by the death attack instead of Jace, not she's unconscious on the ground and Jace hasn't noticed and left her to get his leg healed. )

Ohh
