The second it struck, Nam felt the energy rushing out of her. She stumbled, her head spinning suddenly, her world fading. She collapsed.

Where's Rako? Aira shouted above the noise of the continuing attack.

Sabastian seemed to decided soemthing, he turned to Dryad and said Can you make the ground split open so much that it can engulf the entire city? We need to end this now.

Relax he said without looking at her, Jace will go back in and pick her up and then this city with fall into the abyses. Jace, you ready?

Then you're orders are to pick up Rako. Forget about attacking people, they'll all die in a second anyway. Will it take to long to make the city disappear?

(I like Aira And the attack could work if they weren't so blatantly murderous. Since they're meant to be heroes, I'd have thought that more than 1 would have been affected by seeing obviously innocent kids slaughtered, for example)

(Each had their own individually insanity. Sabatian was a lying bastard. Aira was actually was the first chosen but he was lying to them all. He was just going all murderous cause he was trying to asert his authority. Jace was sadistic full stop. Dryad was one who saw a few deaths as OK if more people's lives were saved. Rako race are all savage killers naturaly so she never had any problem with it. In hindsight I definitely shouldn't have made them all have their own sadistic qualities. What do you want to do?)

(Not sure But I thought the tests were meant to pick out heroes? Or is power the only defining quality of a Torti?)

(Hmmm Vension I suppose would make things easier. But if he's gonna take on the entire world he's gonna have to be crazy powerful. He could have a small army but have the ability to tell the future making him really hard to defeat )
